Installing white letters on your tires

This is a quick video of me installing stick-on letters to my tires on the GTO. The tires are 35 profile on 18's.
The company I used is called www.tiresticke...
I never installed these before, so I'm not sure if these guys are the best or not. All I can say is that their product worked exactly as they said it would.
Songs used are:
Bensound - House
and

You used a heat gun because you didn't have super glue or you had some heat gun type letters ? I cant find any heat gun stickers. Love your car

I don’t know the price difference because that was so long ago, but if you’re sure you’re going to like the look I would definitely get the permanent ones. I was unsure if I was even going to like it so this was a nice cheap and easy test.

SgtAirRaid well, they stay stuck for sure, but they get dirty extremely fast. I tried many products to keep them white, but with no luck. I never put tire shine on top of them, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be OK. It just might collect more dirt though. Keep in mind that these are supposed to be the “temporary ones”. I believe they say you only get 100 to 500 miles out of them.

Dremmell and a sanding drum will take fine print off the sidewall nicely

Where can i buy tires that are already made with white lettering? Im a big fan of em as well been wantin em since my first car n could never find them

KEVIN HERBIN unfortunately there are hardly any street tires this way. Only some race tires, (slicks). We are stuck doing it this way for now.

Can I apply this to a rough textured tire with letters already imprinted into the rubber? or do I need to have smooth tires so I can apply this product?

You can, but the smoother your tire is, the better and EASIER it is to apply. I emphasize "easier" because I don't think I showed this in the vid, but I actually got blisters trying to push the stickers into the tires where there was topography. My tires have letters and nomenclatures all over it and I tried to pick areas that had the least amount. Hopefully that answers your question, if not, PLEASE ask me more. Thanks for watching!!!

Elizabeth Alvarado not yet. They still look new so far, but they have been in the garage the whole time.

Ash K not good. Maybe I could have cleaned them more...but they turned yellow. I couldn’t get them white again.

Did you use a custom text when you got these or did you select them and what height of the lettering did you use?

MrStealYo BItXch I picked one of their existing designs and just selected the height. They now offer custom ones you can say whatever you want which could be pretty fun. 😂

What size are those letters? They look like 2" When they begin to peel do they all go at the same time? Are the remaining letters hard to remove? Do they leave anything behind? Thanks for the video!

Edward Hands 2.5". The website said I needed 2 inch but I decided to go with 2 1/2 and I'm happy I did. I haven't had to remove them yet, but one of them starting to fall off and it looks like there's no residue left over. I will be removing them probably in the next month and doing a follow up video so stay tuned.

Victor Lopez not yet unfortunately. I live in Chicago so she is put away for the winter still. I will start driving her in a couple weeks and I will be sure to let everyone know.

Trey Gonzalez they are 1.5" tall stickers and the front tires are 265/35/18 and rears are 285/35/18

kunal mahar I thought I said the pricing, but my kit I used was around $60 I believe. Can’t remember exactly because it was a few years ago.

Gerardo Reyes I love the look of white letters, and I think it’s a cheap mod to do. The only thing is they turn yellow after about 200-300 miles. Might want to think about their permanent ones.

Buddy, best car for the money as long as you are OK with the styling. On paper...it's awesome, styling is very 'hit or miss' with people. I've loved the styling since it came out. but I'm weird like that.🙃

The Ortega Family They say they’re only good for about 100 to 500 miles and I pretty much agree with that. I had them for a year but they turned yellow pretty early on.

what happens when you go to a hand carwash,,can they power wash and rub,,soap,,etc,,,armoral the tires,,

miguel ortiz I don't think so. They are still sticky and attract dirt. I haven't washed them since I installed them because the car is in storage for the winter. I will let you know this spring, but my guess is that they won't peel, they will just stay dirty. Thanks for the comment!

Maybe. I have to get rid of all the other stickers on the car first before I can see if it looks good to me. This was a cheap and sort of easy way to see how it looks before investing in the permanent ones. Hope that answers your question

Three Dee the company I used makes you put your tire size in and they tell you their recommended size. My opinion...measure from the tire from the beginning of the tread towards the wheel and try to get the biggest letters that will fit.

B2S Bunny funny you say that because that was my plan. Problem was too much topography and I wasn’t sure if it would stick. So I applied the stickers in the area that had the least topography.

these are temporary? i can tell... they're extremely thin, you can see the contours underneath. this helps me in deciding on the permanent "thicker' stickers.

When you do the permanent make sure to sand sidewall so your not laying over the original lettering looks so much better

Lukas Geo not very long. Maybe 50 to 300 miles or so. The first thing is they get dirty and I tried everything to clean them with no luck. They sort of turn yellow.

The company is called "tire stickers". I love the stickers except the fact I cannot clean them so far. I have about 600+ miles on them and they are brown. I've tried a few cleaners now with no success. I plan to email them next to see if they have a different way to clean them than the methods I've tried. I wanted to have a follow-up vid way before now, but I wanted to be able to first have a full story to share before I share my opinion. Thanks for the comment...cheers!

torodaman I did a rally and those were all the sponsors. I kept them on for a while so they would get their money’s worth. They’re gone now.

Tom Saue I wouldn't waste the money on the temp ones IMHO unless you just want to see how they look without committing. But like I said, I will do a follow up vid probably in the next month.

Watch Me Not very long. My brake dust turned them yellow pretty quick. I couldn’t clean the yellow away. Used Bleach White and many other tire/wheel cleaners with no luck. If you know you like the look, get their “permanent” ones. Supposedly you can clean them.

Dam so you can’t buy these you have to buy stickers and have a heart gun??? I tried the pens you fill in the letters with but they last maybe 2 weeks then it looks garbage
