So here's what I can assume from the lore so far: in the filming of godzilla raids again, the actor in the suite, which is actually a killer, instead of it being acted that he killed anguirus, he killed anguirus as well as the actor in the suite, everyone thought he lived and it was all ok, this most likely implies that this person is the only one experiencing this, possibly meaning he has a connection with the film.
@@SerpentNight Ooh! Maybe the suit actor TRIED to kill the actor inside Anguirus here, but it didn't take. This is an alternate history where the Anguirus actor tragically drowned for real. Everyone thought it was an accident; it was reported as such. *It wasn't.* Uhhhh, Suitmation, feel free to use this if it's up your alley; you have my proverbial blessing.
Maybe the actor who killed anguirus's actor is now possessing this random tape or something like that. Or maybe the tape just belonged to the killer, and he was the one who tampered with it. And he was just never caught.
@@traewilson5127 All I know is that Tokusatsu suit acting is historically a dangerous job. No one's ever died to my knowledge but exhaustion dehydration and minor injuries were common hazards; especially in early ones when the details of how it all "worked" were still being ironed out.
My theory but simplified, except I thought that the suits or the actors could infuse themselves with one another which would explain the line about the other guy's body going limp in HIS jaws.
My take on this: The Godzilla suit *itself* is alive or possessed by an evil spirit, and now has gotten a taste of murder. It's basic, but that's all I got. Amazing job on this dude, it genuinely freaked me out the first time I watched it. I love how Anguirus' roar turns into a humanlike scream before those creepy-ass Goji eyes. Keep up the good work!
I feel like the suit has been possesed kind of like a red from the NES goji game kind of thing, it explains why he said the screen would maintain him any longer.
that's strange a tape could play different footage in a separate viewing... it's definitely looking to be more than just some tampering. can't wait to see a new progress update on this weird event in your VHS tape! also, i'm sorry you had to sit through the majority of raids again twice in one week, i could never
The scariest part of all this (for me, anyway) is how much of my childhood was steeped in Godzilla. I still love watching the movies today, and whenever there is a new one, my family and I are right there watching as soon as we can. The idea of a Godzilla analog horror series weirded me out at first. But I have to say that these are great! Can't wait to see how this plays out.
Gojira is just a monster awakened by nuclear tests... but his namesake, the legend of Oto island, is much older, perhaps even eternal. Perhaps this is the real Gojira we are hearing from.
I like how you used Godzilla Raids Again as the central tape for this series. Everything about his movements and expressions in that film are so deeply unsettling - like a human sneaking up on a fly. Great work 👏
If and when you start doing other movies, I'd recommend cropping them to the 4:3 aspect ratio. When something is filmed in widescreen but then cropped, it gives the impression that your not seeing something, which can produce an eerie effect. I'm happy I discovered this series as early as I did, and I'm looking forward to Instance #3!
Shouldn't this be 4/3 to begin with? I grew up during the twilight of the VHS days so I'm not super experienced with older formats, but iirc everything til around the 90s/2000s was in 4/3? The video itself kinda looks like it was created in widescreen.
@@andagi1920 You're correct, I was just in the mindset knowing that he isn't getting his footage from the actual V/H/S tapes. So I guess my comment is more of a reminder as not to forget to crop the later movies.
Ok, I didn’t expect 1:28, that actually spooked me a little. Keep up the great work man. Nothing too scary yet, but I think the lore being told here is very interesting and easy to fallow.
Text that starts at 1:19 “None of them knew” “The snap was my favorite” “The cameras kept rolling” “They thought it was part of the scene” “They have no idea how much I loved feeling his body go limp in my jaws” Is this implying he actually KILLED Anguirus? Like straight up killed his suit actor? That’s ridiculous, Haruo Nakajima was a good man. He’d never do such a thing.
I like how everyone is using irl logic to a fictional series, maybe haruo could be a murderer in this universe, nobody compares needlemouse to actual sonic games because sonic guy, must be real, in this universe, we don't have a clue what movies even exist and don't exist, sorry for that tanget, I just got triggered seeing these comments acting like this was real.
I THINK that whatever is causing this could be Godzilla himself. To you, if it concerns, I think that there's zero haunted presence. I mean, the last time someone posted about a haunted Godzilla product, it really was haunted (A specialised copy of the game "Godzilla: Monster of Monsters"). What I think IS happening is a dimensional disturbance: I think that the tapes appear to be giving you unwanted windows into a dimension where the Godzilla movies might have been Snuff films? I don't really know, but I'm just guessing. Whenever his eyes glow or the tape malfunctions, I think Godzilla/his actor is talking to you about how gleefully deranged he is. It sounds stupid, but it is the best I can come up with right now. And I do NOT know what music it was playing as he communicated. All I have to say is that if THIS is what happening with Raids Again, I shudder to imagine what will happen if you decide to watch Godzilla vs. Hedorah...
So far I'm liking the plausible deniability it has going. I remember as a kid when hearing creepypastas for the first time, I would actually want to believe the stories are real and I would try to justify them being real, which required thinking of non-supernatual explanations for things (although those explanations didn't make sense since you can't just justify everything with "it's a glitch"). I am reminded of that with this series as the main character tries to figure out who tampered with the film and seek out a non-supernatual explanation, to the point of dismissing things like "this screen won't contain me forever"
Damn this got me interested While I would say I'm not terrified (although I did get scared a Little) this is genuinely uncanny and uncomfortable I can't wait to see where this goes
You combined two lf my favorite genre's.....Godzilla and ARG/found footage i really love what your doing so far keep it up i can't wait to see what you got in store 👍👍
Well, whatever or whoever is passing itself off as Godzilla, anyway. I highly doubt this is the fictional Godzilla trying to break into the real world, because that's just silly. Not remotely scary. It's gotta be bigger than that.
@@traewilson5127 perhaps some type of interdimensional force is manifesting as godzilla because it realizes that he is a character associated with power, fear, and destruction
my thoughts are that the dad is the killer, he’s a big fan of the series because while he wears the suits he’s able to kill people and make it seem like it’s part of the act. this would also explain why he said he hasn’t messed with the tape, it’s so he can dogged getting found out, idk it’s my thoughts anyways great work!! i’m looking forward for the next one
I'm very excited about where this story is going to go, it's something early to speculate but I have several ideas that it can be, continue with the excellent work and I hope that this can reach more people
Im not a superstitious or irrational person, but holy shit i’ve never felt this nervous watching a youtube video *ever* Massive props to you whoever made this
Godzilla is real and they filmed him for the first two movies, but after killing Anguirus, his bloodlust was too much; so they trapped him inside the film and OP has the unfortunate pleasure of being the one who owns the tape where the spirit of Godzilla currently resides in. That's what I'm getting.
my theory is that the actors in the suit. atleast not the godzilla one. the suits are in control . the jaws and over all head would be in the neck of the suit. and goji said he enjoyed angys body going limp. perhaps the actors are metaphorical puppets in the suit or maybe a robot or even full 2001 GMK is that the souls of WW2 victims are posesing the suit. Goji is meant to be a stand in for the atomic bomb. a sci fi retelling
I'm loving this series and I have Two theory's, One: This is demon that entered into the VHS tape and is telling, I'm guessing you that he has done what Godzilla has done in the movies and is going to do the same to the real world. Two: It's actually Godzilla in the movie or movies telling everyone that this is not just a man in a suit but an actual creature that lives somewhere deep, that this is not going to be movies for long if that makes any since, But none the less I like this series and I think chose I good movie to start with as analogue horror, But this does make me think what other Godzilla Movies are Infected????
I swear anytime I see the eyes on godzilla, he turns into a person. Like, I get the eerie feeling that that is a PERSON talking to me. This is great, can't wait to see the next instances.
At 1:18 odd text start appearing, heres what it says. *None of them knew...* *The snap was my favorite...* *The cameras kept rolling...* *They thought it was part of the scene...* *They had no idea how much i loved feeling his body go limp in my jaws...* Haruo.. Thats F***** up.
I came here because of Omni Viewer and I post the same comment here, as I did there. It's nice to see Godzilla in a context where he feels genuinely eerie, without having to make him look grotesque, i.e., Shin Godzilla.
I think I'm personally more interested in the idea that Godzilla and Anguirus were real beings that were filming the movie together and that the kills we see are genuinely that rather than just "Rahh! Spoopy doopy demon gonna get ya!!!"
Hey bro, I just wanted to tell you, this was one of the best analog horrors I have ever seen. I am currently making a video about it on my channel where I react to this, and it was amazing. I like the editing but also how you realized the text was too fast in the first part, i like that you made the text longer in this. And its a very simple story. You are now one of my favorite analog horror creators (others being Alex Kister, and Stuffy Studios). Keep up the good work, and God bless you.
none of them knew the snap was my favorite the cameras kept rolling they thought it was part of the scene they no idea how much I loved feeling body go limp in my jaws I do not regret killing him they bury what they cannot afford to solve this screen will not contain me forever you know that, right? ShodaiGoji wishes he were this spooky
Hmmm, so I'm guessing the suit itself is haunted and is communicating through the tapes. Though that raises so many questions as to how that works. I liked this one a bit better than the first, and the plot seems to be getting a little bit more interesting (though you're still using the haunted VHS trope thus far when I thought you said you would stray away from it?), but I feel you're still relying too much on the Mandela Catalogue asthetic for this series to truly stand on its own. I'd advise maybe looking at something like Gemini Home Entertainment which took clear inspiration from Local58 but still managed to carve its own identity and look, and apply that kind of execution to Suitmation Trials. Again, I hope you don't take this the wrong way and I still look forward to what new content you have in store. 👍
My favorite part of this series has to be the eye segments. 👁 👁 Just having the pair of eyes staring at the camera while addressing the viewer, as if Goji is talking with the narrator and the audience. Its always first person, and always giving or taking details from its own kife and the lives of the viewers. It ends as abruptly as it started, returning from the fourth wall to torment again
Hm. I’ve seen documentaries about how sometimes tapes get recorded over other ones and end up having bits and pieces of the old tapes stuck in them. That must be what’s happening here. Nothing to worry about I’m sure! ;) (OOC I love this and hope to see more. It really reminds me of the creepy Godzilla from GMK who was possessed by thousands of people who died during WW2. I also really like the personal tone that Godzilla(?) speaks to us with here, it really helps it stand out from the analog horrors that have the cold clinical detached feeling. He’s not just corrupting a tape or something, he’s talking *to you*.)
My theory is that there was some kind of evil entity inside the suit, and Haruo Nakajima was posessed by this entity, making him kill Anguirus against his own will, although the evil entity enjoyed killing him.
I do have a theory I think that the godzilla suit actor isn't harou nakajima (the original godzilla suit actor) instead is a killer who look like harou nakajima killed a actor who played angerious Ps:I know some of them are wrong
I kinda have the same theory. Haruo played Gojira in the OG movie, but didn't want to reprise the role in the second movie. They hire a new actor who happens to be a killer. He kills Anguirus, and Toho covers it up. They finish the movie, this time with Haruo on it
My theory goji killed the person in anguirus costume and goji is a living being thus the scream in trial 1 is a little human like or the person in gojis suit is a serial killer and literally took killing anguirus seriously
1:19 "none of them knew" 1:20 "the snap was my favorite" // "the cameras kept rolling" 1:21 "they thought it was part of the scene" 1:22 "they had no idea how much I loved feeling his body go limp in my jaws"
Ok so I got a little theory on this, the actor in the suit of this particular version of Godzilla is possessed, well in a way. The suit was alive somehow, the actor didn’t want to kill anybody but the suit had other ideas. As stupid as that sounds it’s a theory I have on it.
My theory so far: The creator of Godzilla Thought that the normal Movie was too childish and non-Creepy so he thought of an idea creating a super scary version of the movie called VHS Version.
have you tried the other tapes (if you've got them) like mothra vs. godzilla or three-headed monster? might be worrying that raids again of all things acts like this if the first one's presumably fine
Probably a more silly take, on my part, but it makes me think an element of Toho was once incredibly insistent on producing Godzilla films because the process, somehow, helped keep this evil contained or at bay. Maybe the usage of suitmation even playing a role. Naturally, however, time passes, fresh blood comes for the old guard, and myths are forgotten. Whatever this thing is, however, is patient. It knows it will be out once more, and soon.
so Godzila said he wasn’t supposed to kill Angilas, that’s interesting, it’s also sounds a lot like what that Zack guy said about his Godzilla NES game. I didn’t believe him at the time but looking at this, I think some solutions are either buy a new tape to replace the old one or maybe talk to Zach about his NES Godzilla game. If these stories are true(which i still have some doubts) they have to be linked.
These stories are so obviously fake it makes a fetus look like Neil DeGrass Tyson compared to you if you actually thought for even a second that these 2 stories are real!
Has it happened to any other of your Godzilla VHS tapes? because if it is ONLY happening to your Revenge of Godzilla VHS, and only now, I think I have a theory about it.
I know I'm a bit late but this is pretty insane. I've never been astonished by a video like this on youtube. My family did too own a Godzilla 1954 & Godzilla Raids again (other shows films along with it) on VHS and it's been lying around in my grandpas house for a while. My uncle gave it to my dad as a gift about 30-ish years ago on his anniversary as they both loved watching godzilla when they were younger. I recently drove 4 hours just to get the VHS because of the first video you posted, and when I popped it in the slot, nothing 'paranormal' happened. The quality of the tape was terrible, I couldn't see anything the whole time, even though the tape was in (surprisingly) good condition. I was disappointed, but I still genuinely believe the footage you in these videos. This is absolutely terrifying, if you can please upload more of this.
Either the suits are alive, there’s some unknown suit actors that were covered up and were the “real” actors that had something creepy about them going on, or some dark Spirt took over the Godzilla suit.
Theres something about a giant monster that can wipe out entire cities with its immense power suddenly turning its attention to one specific person (the viewer) thats ungodly terrifying.
My theory is that some evil spirit took over the body of Godzilla's actor and then killed every person that was in the filmmaking, due to his weird supernatural powers he still kept the movie going
I could’ve sworn i made a comment here about the suit needing to be alive given how the godzilla describes the suits jaws as his own, but I can’t seem to find it!
