Amla/ gooseberry usirikaya pickle is atangy and flavorful condiment.Full of health benefits,rich in vitamin c.
Ingredients:-
Amla/ gooseberry - 500 gr
Mustard powder - 100gr
Red chilli powder - 100 gr
Salt- 75 gr
Peanut /groundnut oil 150 gr
Mustard oil 100 gr
Hing / asafoetida - 1/ 2 teaspoon
Meethi seeds - 1 teaspoon
Haldi 1/ 2 teaspoon
Method:-
Wash amlas pat dry with a kitchen towel.Remove seeds and chop into pieces. Take a wide bowl mix all masalas well without lumps.Take another wide bowl / thali put amla/gooseberry pieces in it add achara masala and mix well.Add groundnut/ peanut oil mix well make sure all masalas and oil coated to amla pieces.And then transfer achar into a dry airtight container add mustard oil mix and close the lid .Keep in a dry place.Mix every alternate day.You can use the pickle after 7 days.
This pickle can be enjoyed with rice,parathas or any Indian meal.
