Hi Angie, when you put the tape on try pushing with the fork tool into your crease above the tape and then you don't get that folded over look instead of folding your skin down over it. It sticks to the top of your crease and looks much better.

Angie, After doing a lot of research on eyelid tapes I decided to take your advice and try the lace strips. I just received them this morning and with the first try I LOVED them. These are a beauty hack life-changer. I live in the country and only wear make-up occasionally but these tapes are so comfortable and easy to apply that I'll probably use them daily. It just makes me feel better to look in the mirror and look alert rather than tired. I'm in my 60's and don't expect to look 25 again, but these tapes took 10-15 yrs off my eyes. Happy Happy Happy! Thank you for the great information you share with us.

I actually use some simple eyelid tapes I bought from Amazon every day and love them. After a little experimentation, it is like second nature to put them on now. It is probably the one beauty item I would not want to leave the house without!

Oh, I want a surgical remedy. I just can't afford it right now. However, in the meantime, I think these will do. Maybe not for everyday but for a special occasion or outing for sure! Definitely worth s try and for the cost...c'mon👍

How does it feel? Are you aware of it's presence throughout the day? My thought is that putting this on and taking it off every day would put more wear and tare on the delicate eyelid skin and ultimately make it more droopy?

That's funny! I've seen these years ago on Michelle phans channel and always wanted to try them out- in fact: they are since a year on my to-do list lol. I thought they stick by themselves. A little hassle to apply the glue yourself. But you look much better without them he he. Also the application of makeup is a little problem with these. Thank you for this test! Great job. ❤️

Most of the eyelid tapes are self-adhesive. I would never do the glue; that just adds another messy step.

I bought an inexpensive pack of three different sizes from Amazon because I had no idea what size to use. I think for Caucasian eyes you need the longer size because it has to wrap around more. I’m still new to this but that seem to be the best fit for me.

Belle Eleganze (Amazon) are the best (I've tried LOTS)...they stay on, can be repositioned if necessary, can't be seen when applied right (right in crease) and no glue needed.

Hi Angie, as always love all your videos and this was no different. I know this new series is for trying new products but I have a request for here or on any of your videos.... I am cool toned, however I have a hard time knowing which eyeshadows to pick in the store and sometimes make horrible and expensive mistakes. I know a cool toned skin can look good with warm toned makeup right? Right now I'm trying to decide between the new day or night Tarte eye and cheek palette. I wouldn't choose gray tones for myself normally but on the other hand, the day palette is considered warm so I don't know how it will look on my cool skin. I'd like to see some warm looks on cool skin and visa versa to learn how to choose color and how to tell the difference between say Browns that are cool and Browns that are warm etc.. Thanks, Vicki

I know this is off topic.. I do apologize. I saw your blog post on primers from 2013. I was wondering if you still recommend teh Smashbox photofinish. I am only 35 but have very uneven skin texture and quite a few forehead wrinkles and really want to see what my options may be. Also any other "tricks" for diminishing the look of wrinkles. It really makes me look 10 years older than I am.

Definitely going to try these. An odd "aside" thing- I noticed recently as I've gotten older that when I get so tired Im literally fighting to stay awake, my eyes sink back into the socket. Creating a dramatically younger look that I've never had, even as a teen. So weird I wish I could reproduce this without being exhausted, lol. It's a mystery I wish I understood the specifics. It's like a cliche come to life (eyes sink back into your head)

I recently saw my dermatologist for a small lesion on my leg that he removed in his office. He told me I needed to see my eye Dr because my hoods could be causing me to lose some of my vision. That's how hooded mine are. So we will see what my eye doc says about about it on my next exam. Those tapes would probably drive me nuts if I could feel them, and they would have to be duct tape strength to help mine, lol....xoxo

+susan moore Hi Susan- If your hoods obstruct your vision by 30% or more you can get the surgery covered by insurance, so definitely check with your doc!

skin care routine video.....can you suggest different night creams to use? I like the olay regenerist..but its too thick/heavy for spring/summer in California. I find it makes my forehead too greasy...but I love the benefits it provides.

Mesh versus plastic tape and single sided. Asian people often use the double sided tape to create a double eyelid Western eye. I like the mesh style too!!

I opted for a permanent solution and had a bleph. The surgery is quick and easy and recovery time was very short. Plus when I wake up in the morning & look in the mirror my eyelids look great. This band makes you look like you have a wrinkle going across the middle of your lid.

I love your videos Angie and you look soooo amazing!! I get why you might want to try this product but I have to say - a laser eyelid surgery is not a big deal and I would recommend it for anyone who has very hooded eyes. I live in Canada and because I could prove my eye sight was being compromised - it was a paid procedure. Just my opinion :)

Excellent. I need these. I have one eye much worse than the other and it is getting worse. On your second try when you placed it higher, did you say you didn't put glue on the little tape shape that time?

+Marilyn R You could just do the one eye and even them up! The "tapes" don't have any adhesive so you have to put on the glue every time.

Angie, I got "Contours Rx™ LIDS BY DESIGN™" from HSN a couple of days ago. No gluing or poking a shrimp fork in your eyelid (I just can't watch that, even though I know it's okay, it just squicks me out). I saw my eyelids for the first time in years. Have you seen those?

I am seriously thinking of having eyelid surgery.. Surprisingly it is not very expensive (anywhere from $2100 to $3200 in my area) and I see such great results.. Also.. Some insurance WILL cover it if you are having issues.. I am having oily lids because the hood folds over onto my eyelid and I am starting to experience a rash type of issue from trapped oil/water. I might give these a try also.

Love your videos and a big thank you for trying products, doing research, and sharing with us; however, I dont think this product should be considered a winner. I do see a very strange crease in the lid. None the less, thank you for taking the time to test this. Maybe after a few trial practices it will look natural. Please keep your awesome videos coming :)
