@@golternator333 amalagam and cobalt triple is the biggest noob trap. When I was 4k mmr I would always see people combine their huge 2 huge Cobalts only to die like 2 turns later.

I'd say yes, as the chance to get even one of them is 50/50. Divine shield means that when toxfin inevitably turns up you get very powerful, and poisonous without Divine shield is still powerful. Windfury was also a good roll there (albeit 3rd best). As he wasn't going against nef in the top group, Divine shield was still a good result on its own

Since the start of Bgrounds murlocs were the best finisher... then they nerfed Mechs and gave murloc the best buff card in the game?

@@ollomont830 murlocs were trash when beast mechs or even light fang ruled, their "finish" was megasaur or bust, yes bagurgle helped a lot but the only reason they rule is due to everything being nerfed, you idiots are playing whack-a-mole

Thats because the developers never managed to get to the late game where murlocs can only loose to insane deathrattle comps. Probably also the reason endgame taverns can be 30 seconds???

Hopefully the beta is mostly for functionality purposes and they plan on adding a bunch on release. It defiently is getting old quick, as great as it is, but that could be saved if they spice it up with more cards!

It's not that simple because adding more cards makes it harder to get triples. (Since the smaller the pool the easier it is)

@@SteamyDashWood weekly rotation would be great, could explore dragons more for example, perhaps even lakeys, though im not sure about that one. Mabye they could add inspire into the mix, ect

I found it hilarious because he literally started the combat at 4:27 by sniping the enemy Warleader then complained about getting "sniped again".

​@@DneBays except the only effect it could've possibly had is that his weaker amalgam wouldn't be able to kill Kripp's amalgam, while Kripp's warleader is literally the only saving grace for his 3 murlocs

I was worried Kripp's salt would end but seeing the recent videos it seems that no game is able to contain Kripp's salt

To be fair, I do believe this is a very valid strategy if you get offered Brann and can get a triple while on tier 5. There is luck implied in hitting the perfect Megasaur rolls, but the payoff is just insane. Will take you from mid-placement to 1st place. If you don't hit the Megasaur rolls the aftermath might not be that different than if you didn't go for it to begin with.

@Rubee Exactly, but BG is a luck based game, he would never get first place with the comp he had, so he saw an opportunity and went for it, he played his odds and won the game because of that, and most people wouldn't have risked it.

@@ollomont830 Just seems like kicking back the lookout to T5 isn't going to solve anything. The only reason people really pull that car is because of the toxfin chance and toxfin is still going to be an extremely common T4 card as it's always been. And that's the problem with murlocs; too easy to fall into the right build with so many different ways to get what you need to succeed.

Coldlight Oracle isn't in Battlegrounds because you don't draw cards in Battlegrounds.

The problem is megasaur outside of amalg murlocs should have no access to divine shield they are the poison tribe with toxfin, remove megasaur completely.

​@@CL-jq1xs You dont need a single amalgam to win, Murloc can cruise midgame off the back of Coldlight/Warleader then Toxfin and Primalfin on 4 with the chance of golding into brann. Primalfin is what makes murloc so consistent and megasaur giving divine+poison is what makes them broken currently. You have a problem with amalg but not Primalfin being able to tutor them lul.

@@Rogus27 i doubt they can cruise through midgame unless they are lucky to get enough murlocs or murlocs buffs...... amalgam makes getting bad roll not a bad roll since you can use any buff type on amalgam. Murloc in general is weak stats wise.... you got to get lucky with the buffs or your board is weak as hell. Not to mention the ability to switch comp with it if you ever really get unlucky. Don't think about murlocs only when they are doing well.... think about the number of time they could have lost if they just stick with murlocs.

Then murlocs would never win. Bumping the +2 health murloc up a tier or the toxfin up a tier would make them more difficult to work.

@@kishoba there is nothing interesting when there is one line that rules all the others who gets the megasaur vs who doesnt is what the game is right now it was much more diverse and interesting before they added Bagurgle making murlocs the ultimate supreme right now un-nerfed mechs/beasts would still have no chance

In some cases you need the gold upfront to buy things and can get the last gold to hero power by selling something at the end.

More like divine shield + poisonous is broken. Who would have thought infinite attack + infinite health is broken. You could win with unbuffed murlocks that only have divine shield + poison.

But if poison is out, i am gonna Omegalul on my Opponents as Deryl, steamrolling with 16/18 hydras as soon as i hit Tavern4.

They both have a function and serve a purpose, the problem is Murloc has access to both through Megasaur which it shouldn't.

@@michaelrichardson8291 in that case, you have no idea what menagerie and murlocs builds are, and I'm wasting my time talking to a guy who has no clue what he is ranting about. 1 or 2 murlocs throughout the game isn't a murlocs build. He even said in the stream himself that he is going for a menagerie build. Then he got bran and megasaur and switched to murlocs build. It's really not that complicated.

He wouldve lost if he didnt take the risk, and he wouldve lost if he didnt get lucky by taking the risk, so why not take the risk? Im sure right before he did that, watching the rolls and everything, that play that he saw immediately hasnt even begun forming in your mind.... so yeah You cant be consistent in a game mode that is ONLY based on rng dude... you have to be smart about it

Exactly, you wouldnt think of a play like that on the spot, thats why he is 4000 mmr higher than you He did get lucky, but.... you have to think about the play and then get lucky to win

​@@LittleBee143 Sure some people might have popped the megasaur before rolling but if you get a megasaur, a brann on next roll and a primal fin and bagurgle on the next it's not exactly a 1000iq play to put them together. This play was 80% godlike rng. I'm not even hating on kripp, it's just not much of a teachable moment like what his intro suggests. The lesson here is simply don't roll last.

@@misterprofessor5038 most people would hesitate to sell a golden cleave that big and change the whole structure of their board when there are 2 players that are crushing, it takes some balls to do that. I think by just leaving the cleave and selling everything else and still get the poison divine shield roll on megasaur could have lost him a game. So again, like i said, he DID get a godlike rng i agree, but to be able to pull that off is kind of impressive

@@LittleBee143 Yeah, I guess. The other thing to remember is that he was getting third place minimum, so he'd already got his +ranking and could really afford to take a huge risks. If he didn't get a megasaur he would have had to trash his 18/18 anyway which some players might not do. Anyone who wouldn't make a play similar to that probably doesn't understand the ramping power of brann. I guess it's a pretty good lesson for a new player. I remember my first week of playing I would get hard stuck with only 3 other players remaining, not knowing what to sell in order to keep growing.

@@misterprofessor5038 exactly, the lesson doesnt seem like a big deal to you or me, but it actually kind of does show that sometimes your plan just doesnt work and you have to ditch everything to win, and i think he does mostly focus on new players and younger players in videos like this, because whats the point in teaching people that are already 6k mmr, right? :)
