You can't really judge him by that try. Most weeks he will be playing against men, unlike the boys he was playing against here.

@@SB-th8uc I think he's expressed his desire to play for England and that that's his focus. So good to see him back after injury, I really hope he gets into the squad in the next year or so. He's a Ben Smith type player, to me - always seems to be in the right place at the right time, deceptively powerful, rapid and great in defence and attack.

Sadly true. Would rather have seen Balacoune given a go to see if they can knock some consistency into him. Hard times to be an Ulster fan atm. I really hope they get a new head coach as I don't think they will do anything with McFarland.

Ulster can count themselves lucky that the Irish squad was selected this week and not next. Because on that performance there’s no way they’d have those six players selected. The worst campaign of any of the Irish provinces by far. Some quick thinking and lovely play by Quins in fairness. 👏🏼

Got to congratulate Quins. Need to be humble and accept that we are not a Champions-Cup team. A year in the Challenge Cup and a bit of humility would do our players no harm. We haven’t earned the right to be in with the top teams.

He has expressed his desire to play for England. Sadly a bad injury held him back but I really hope he'll be in the mix before too long, potentially world class winger.

When he first came onto the scene he had a case for the best in the world, has had bad luck with injuries recently and doesn’t seem to be getting back to anywhere near his best. A lack of a senior player in his position around the team I’m sure affects him, imo

Thing about these - as always - poorly compiled highlights is that they don't show the excellent defence in the first 20 mins from Quins. Ulster were not bad at all in the first section of the game but they really were caught napping a few times for the tries. By the end of the game Quins were the far better side but I want to give credit to Ulster for some of their play. Their fans were vocal and great craic at the pub afterwards. Fanatstic from Quins though ultimately

Irish teams have been handing some of your clubs a spanking for the last few years and recently have been doing it to your national team, too. The clubs going bust in England has actually helped bring on some of the other clubs. But I wouldn't get to carried away if I were you.

Someone's salty. Look at Johnny Wilkinson. He played for the Newcastle falcons. A team that, until recently, wasn't even in the premiership. He also won England a World Cup. Esterhuizen has won a premiership trophy and was on the 2023 springbok squad that won the World Cup. I don't think he's really concerned about trophies.
