A quick correction into that Bear Grylls shot: He is not exaggerating.He is demonstrating, asking the viewers to be careful if they are stuck in the wild and came across a landbridge. If you take a look in the Man Vs Wild Disclaimer, it clearly states that sometimes, scenarios are presented towards Bear to demonstrate the way to handle them for the viewers.

I understand that he had good intention for demonstration, and there’s no harm doing that. However, it is still none-the-less a false advertisement on purpose. Bear Grylls’s show at the time has marketed itself as Man vs Nature, and twisting the reality of the show is the same as betraying the audience’s trust in the credibility of the show itself.

I fail to see how the disclaimer has anything to do with falsely presenting the situation. I've seen professionals demonstrate survival techniques while maintain honesty. Bear Gryll's show however, isn't honest. Think about it, if they were an honest show, would they position the camera that way? Of course not, part of the charms from Bear Gryll's show came from the audience's expectation of realism, and it is all a phony.

Personal Good Karma moment: Couple years ago a friend and I were competing in a bass fishing tournament. We were struggling pretty hard. We had gone almost 6 hours without catching a fish and only had about two hours left until weigh in... On our way to our next spot, we noticed a boat drifting out in the open with two young females inside. The boat had stalled and wouldn't start. We took the time to help them out and tow them back to where they were camped. After that we made it to our fishing spot with about an hour left and proceeded to catch 20lbs and won the tournament. Good Karma is a thing!
