I almost want Duncan Hines to include a mini frosting baggy, like the size of a Ketchup packet, inside with the "Topping" lid. It would be more delicious/complete on their completed cakes. Love your videos, this one makes me crave cake 🥰
actually, in america most do! every duncan hines mug cake mix I've ever bought comes with a little packet of frosting, with flavoring differing based on the type of cake you get.
They actually did this in the mini product line about 1-2 years ago- you could buy little packets of “drizzles.” I recall a fudge one and an apple cinnamon one for sure.
I'm glad that you got the Ghirardelli brownies in there. I've never tried the microwave version but theirs are the best boxed mixes that I've had from an American supermarket. Made from scratch can still be better but It is tough to beat the convenience of a boxed mix.

I can't remember if it was Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker but they had a microwave cake mix that came with a little cardboard pan to cook it in and a frosting pouch. I loved them! They were so good. Haven't seen them in the store in a while. I guess they got replaced with the mug ones. I wish they'd bring them back. The frosting was so yummy!🍰😋
We’ve gotten the Ghirardheli and Duncan Hines version before for special occasions and can safely say, they’re good! We added frosting to the top of ours and a bit more chocolate chips/cookies to the batter depending on how the mix looked. They’re not bad for a sweet treat and one doesn’t want to do a lot of baking/cleanup afterwards.
I think the Ghirardelli brownie just had instructions to let it sit for a minute so it would cool down. If an American burnt their mouth from eating the brownie, they'd sue. That company is pretty smart. Also, Ghirardelli is the best chocolate from the USA.
we call these "coffee cup cakes" because it's super easy to throw a few things into a coffee cup and put it in the microwave for a minute to bake...lots of recipes online too. If you do keto, there are some great keto ones as well! I really loved those ones when I did that diet
I've had a couple different ones and some are a bit dry. But they are surprisingly tasty considering it takes a couple minutes to make. Just don't have very high expectations for it and you won't be disappointed
i have found the secret to those instant cakes is, after you stir them, add something, right to the middle. a spoonful of peanut butter, or a squirt of chocolate syrup, or some sweetened condensed milk. turns it into a lava cake of sorts.

I live in the U.S. and have never purchased these because they are, truly, very easy and inexpensive to make at home with a few ingredients. I'm sure you can do this. 😊
