This is why I dig the Carryall Pm, the dark caramel patina is beautiful, a nice change from the raw vachetta. I don't understand why LV never thought to make a darker vachetta until just recently.

🤣🤣🤣 Also after you patina your baby make sure you spray her down with “Apple Garde” is a water repellent and stain resistant spray that can protect your leather from stains and damage. I will be uploading a video showing how to do this entire process. ☺️

Thanks for this video! As of this moment, I have my LV bag sitting in the sun (south window) to tan the vachetta. I am definitely going to try the olive oil treatment because I am too impatient to tan my bag for 3 days. 😄 Can't wait to see that beautiful honey color on my LV bag!

Not sure if you will see this. Came across this video looking for help and you seem very knowledgeable. My daughter has a speedy 30 that I have tried to do this process on. The oil does not soak in in areas. It appears to have a shine over the leather. Do you have any idea how to conquer this?

I love that deep honey color. The color from the 1st patina was amazing. You make it look so easy....I will try it on my 1854 pochette metise. Ohhh and my DA Speedy 35. same here, raw vachetta stains too easily and gets stains on the handles, darkening unevenly. from oils in our hands. After owning LV bags more than 30 years, I've learnt this the hard way. This lady know how to keep her LV looking beautiful - seal the vachetta before use (so you don't ruin it!) This way it won't matter if you get water on it, and it'll patina evenly.

This treatment does not protect your vachette in the rain sweetie. I use Apple Guard to protect my vachette on all my bags just in case I get caught in the rain it won’t stain so much or at all for that matter. Thanks for watching 💖🙌🏾

How many times do you recommend doing the olive oil?? Also how long do you need to wait in between

Depends on how many levels of patina aka darkness of color you’re going for. I normally give my new bags a level 3 patina meaning I do the olive oli process 3 times. I wait about 10 min between each sessions. Soon it will start to patina on its on naturally. 💖☺️

I purchased a vintage LV & I wanted a crossbody instead,so I bought a strap extender. The extender is patina already, but unfortunately doesn’t match the existing strap. Can I patina the extender? I’m also wondering how many times should I do it so it would match. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. For reference the bag I bought is the musette Salsa PM. Thank you.

I would suggest you do a one level patina & place the strap extender in the sun to naturally see how much more it will patina. If it’s still too light after you leave it in the sun then you may have to do a level 2 patina and I think that should do it depending on the color of the one that’s already on the bag. You can show me a picture through my Instagram and I would really be able to know how many times you should patina it. Insta: @coachkeishaplans 💕

It may not be “real leather” doll. If it was real genuine leather it would patina. Something is not right with that leather. Sounds like it’s “imitation leather” ☹️🥺

Hello I have a problem with a wrist of my speedy skate is not the same color as on the rest of the bag. The store told me it’s rare, that it’s not the same animal leather that was used for one of my handles. Have you ever had this trouble or do you know people who have happened? It upsets me😐

What other oil can be used in place of EVOO? I bought some mink oil. Will that work?
