Well, I made this soup tonight and I have to say it was a HIT with my husband ! He LOVED it ! Tomorrow, it’s the cream of bacon soup ! I have a friend who has 4th stage cancer and I’m making these soups and taking them to her. SO far, she’s really liked your recipes too ! Keep ‘em coming ! They’re TERRIFIC !

Got your reply Jeff. She passed away not a long time after but I brought her all kinds of soups and other foods. She really enjoyed them. I miss her a lot. She got cancer when Covid first set in so it was a battle between her cancer and not coming down with Covid. She went to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. They tried everything. You played a part in enjoying the last months of her life. Thank you for that.

Great recipe, Jeff. I made it tonight and it is fantastic. Our Costco has frozen broccoli, 4 lbs. packages with 4 separate 1# steamable bags. It couldn't have worked more perfectly for this recipe!

Hey Jeff, made this last night and it was awesome! I messed it up a bit, used old white cheddar and pressure cooked ALL the broccoli instead of adding some later but it was still A+. I'm also a big fan of the borscht and avocado chicken recipes. Favourite cooking channel by far

Finally made this! I loved it. I think next time I will use fresh broccoli and not steam it for quite as long. The soup is so thick and rich, I think having broccoli that's a little chewier will make it even better for me. Thank you for another delicious and "nice" ;) recipe, Jeffrey!

I love that you reassured everyone that it's fine to use a red onion. I make all your dishes without any onion at all - including no Worcestershire, no bouillon with onion, etc. and everything tastes great.

Jeffrey, I just made a pot of this for the wife ... I'm in the middle of a Keto fast ... and it came out FANTASTIC. I had a bit of brain fade, and inadvertently forgot the flour as a thicker, no big deal, it thickens up pretty quickly with the cheese. I also don't have an immersion blender (hear that Santa Clause?) so I just used a hand held electric mixer. Came out fine. Used two packages of cheese and three packages of frozen broccoli. Your spice mix was a solid recommendation! Now that is a stick to your ribs, hearty soup! The wife and daughter loved it!
