I recently made a recipe very similar to this, called Borracho beans (drunken beans because beer is added). The ingredients used are otherwise very similar...I don't have an instant pot yet so I cooked them all day in my crockpot. I made some Mexican cornbread and sliced some onion to eat on the side and it was so delicious! Oh, and of course some fresh cilantro as a topper! Hugs and blessings from Georgia. 🍑🤗💕
I am going to give your recipe a try but I have to wait until we get some cool weather! I will definitely be adding plenty of cilantro! I love some food with my cilantro.
I have got some pimento beans in my cupboard, I also have a digital pressure cooker, so I will certainly be making, great chef joke as always Thank you, for sharing Rockin Robin, :-)
Those are some beautiful beans, Robin, and you look so cute and adorable in pink and with the sombrero. What makes beans so flavorful? I send you lots of love, my dear friend.
The best recipe! Finally after a year in the box, we had the courage and reason to try out our new InstantPot! It was so easy and we have been eating these beans so many ways and tonight I am using the little bit of juice left to make Chili Ramen. Last night we made burritos from the beans. Will make this recipe often! Thanks so much! Followed recipe exactly but I did soak beans prior and cooked a little less time because of that.
@@RockinRobinCooks you rock! The Cheese Enchiladas and sauce are the bomb! So hard to find good sauce or what I call Zinny’s/Jaliscos Resturants Chili Gravy from 1960/1970’s. Born and Grew up in California and the sauce was always pink and thick! You have a great shortcut recipe! Awesome!love it.
I love your channel and I have made all your recipes all turned out great except for the refridbeans, I followed the recipe but mine tasted very flat and it didn't give me that refridbeans flavor, any Ideas to help. I will be making this soup Saturday, having a dinner party and was going to make tortilla soup but I'm making this instead. I love the apron. Can this dish with the same ingredients be turned into a chilli whit a thickiner ?
🌵[ Rockin Robin Cooks ]🌵 " Thanks for sharing this recipe for Charro Beans with your viewers. Earlier today I was thinking about Charro Beans; when I was able to cook I would prepare this recipe and it was a family favorite ! " 🥓🥑🌶️ [ 👍👍 ] 🌶️🥑🥓
Ok Robin I like the recipe, but I'm not sold on the insta pot😏what besides speed is a gain?😦making this on the stove is just as good, and uncomplicated, with all that depressurizing. I guess I'm more "old school" than I thought🥴loved the hat🥳
Basically the same way, you just have to cook it longer. For the first cooking session, cook the beans partially covered for 50 min. Then after you add the tomatoes and salt, cook an additional 45- 50 min with the lid partially covered to keep the liquid from evaporating. If it does add more chicken broth. Stir occasionally and keep it at a simmer.
