Thank you so much for your positive input! You can also follow my Facebook group InDebs kitchen which is a Livestream test kitchen, uncensored, random and spur of the moment. This is where I test recipes or just tape myself cooking everyday meals. I am preparing to start taping more content for my RU-vid channel as well.
Hi my name is Valiere! I’m using my husbands RU-vid channel but OH MY GOODNESS DEB I SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL AND IT FELT LIKE SUCH AN HONOR TO DO MAM! You’re such a blessing to all us new time cooks wanting to make some classics and not knowing where to start. I started on the fideo video cus I’m trying to learn to make some soft but solid/ food for my son since he’s learning to eat solids. And then I stumbled across this Gem of a video! Which was an amazing find and made my heart so happy too! lol Thank you for being our cooking coach with all the love that you give through the screen!
I have an Insta Pot, but still make beans on the stove. This is so much faster and uses less energy, I really do need to change the way I make them. Thank you.
Something that a lot of people don’t mention is that pressure cooking the beans also breaks down the Lectins that can cause many people gastrointestinal distress. I only make my beans in the pressure cooker (Instant Pot) anymore.👍🏼
Ill be trying these tonight. Im one of those that took forever to try my Instant...I was scared to use it, now I love using it!!!! Thank you for the recipe!

@@In_DebsKitchen absolutely will! Have a great time filming. Love your attitude and calm demeanor. Much love. BTW, my instant pot bean and Spanish rice are always devoured, left overs always used up! 🙃
Hello Deb. Ophelia and I really enjoyed visiting with you. As promised, I looked up your channel and…I’m going to try this quick bean thing. I’m always cooking beans the traditional way. I haven’t heard of a instant pot. Imma get one. New subscriber too.
Hello Brian, I am finally back in Deb's kitchen and trying to catch up in answering my comments! It was great fellowship having you and Ophelia over and for your generous dinner! Tunein, we have just posted a video and will be posting another recipe today or tomorrow
Hey Deb Love the instant pot.Have two sizes. Use the three qt mostly because I’m cooking for one now. I cook only a half pound of pintos now. Any idea how much of the seasoning to use with a small amount. Love the videos. Do you have an air fryer and do you use it? If so please do some videos for us. Thank you
I have just come back on my RU-vid channel after the passing of my husband and we are getting ready to post a recipe. I am trying to catch up with my comments
Hi Deb, the part I’m not clear on is do we have the vent off during cooking? My husband and I finally got brave enough to take ours out of the box after a year but while they are cooking, we had the vent open and all kinds of steam was coming out and we didn’t get the result we wanted. What does it mean to steam naturally?
Hello, during cooking you want to have the vent closed and then you can release it once it's done or you can also let it slow release on its own when the time is up.
@@In_DebsKitchen thank you as a struggling college student your instant pot recipes are a life saver so I am forever thankful and am glad I found you. Thank you again and god bless you and your family and I look forward to your next videos
I use the instapot to make beans. I have a 6 and 3 qt IP. But can you add other seasonings? IE chili Cumin or peppers? I also like to add bacon. There's only 2 of us and only cook 1 cup. And please do show us how to do refried beans. Thanks a lot.
@@jasonmayer8003 We always enjoy eating unmashed beans freshly made. We add diced onions, pickled jalapeños and cheddar cheese. The magic and taste is lost once cold so refried from that point on.
I always do at least an hour as well, if I’m cooking a lot of beans I do like 70 minutes. Some recipes say 25-30 minutes for pintos… I’m like what the heck? Haha if I only do that amount of time my beans would be crunchy guaranteed
