This lady is the best baker/cook!!!! Her recipes are spot on, easy to make and DELICIOUS! I made this with chicken thighs in the air fryer instead of pork. OMG the rub is phenomenal and the chicken was a hit, even with my firefighter son who knows how to cook. Everything I had tried on her channel has always come out great!!!! 🙏 thanks for all you do. Keep the recipes coming.
This is the first time using an instant pot. I followed along with your video for the pulled pork but, the saute doesn't seem to want to Brown and it's taking forever! Did I do something wrong? The pork is just white on all sides?!!
Tastes the same but the slow cooker can provide the searing effect. You’d need a cast iron skillet on a stove top for that. Crock pot also takes about 8 hours to get the meat the proper texture. I can get 8 pounds of sliced butt in my instant falling apart tender in just 90 minutes. Those are the real differences rather than taste
If you cut it up then 30 minutes should be about right. But you will wish you made more than 2 pounds. Pork butts still go on sale for 99 cents a pound every few weeks. It’s the best deal in the entire supermarket
Searing olive oil turns into tar. Sear with a TFAL Pan while you're at it? Peanut oil for frying, butter for searing. Recipe sound like a go for next Sunday.
That’s because you either aren’t getting the cook surface hot enough or you are unintentionally dropping the temperature with cold meat. Olive or avocado oil gives a great sear with proper technique
Texas style is seasoned exclusively with salt, pepper, garlic. Carolina uses mustard based barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar. This recipe was neither of those. If I had to label it I’d say Kansas City style was closest given the addition of the sweet brown sugar bbq sauce
