Hartenstein matching Oakley's best playoff game. McBride coming out of his funk exactly when needed. Burks justifying the entire Grimes trade in one game (it was already justified). Brunson enduring the foot pain and playing like he did before the injury. The heart on this team.

I agree it’s likely going 7, but the extra day off gives me a little more confidence that they might have a chance to win game 6

This Knicks teams has guts and lots of it. You will have to earn it to beat them 4 times out of 7.

Pacers are shell shocked they won't recover. Fragile team psyche for a young team. Knicks getting extra day helps a lot.

Mike hit the nail on the head with saying Thibs needed to put Deuce in the starting lineup and have Precious come off the bench! It worked to perfection. As for the series, I think the Knicks will prevail. They looked fresher having most of the last game off due to the blowout. Having this extra day off finally, IMO should allow Game 6 to be more like Game 3. If the game is in reach or if NY has a late lead like they did last Friday, I believe their will and grit knowing the finish line is so close will help them get the job done. I wouldn't expect a blowout and wouldn't write the Knicks off for that game so quick. I look for Donte to haveba bounce back game after 2 bad ones in a row. He is streaky and he is due to start streaking in the right direction. Lastly, Burks is just what the Dr. ordered...another guy you can count on for buckets. We can rail about why Thibs didn't use him earlier, but he is using him now and it is helping big time!!!

No pats on the back til the series ends. I totally agree about the Indiana lack of effort which was so strange. I actually think the turnovers were partially lack of effort also, they were legit just throwing the ball out of bounds multiple times.

kind of funny how a few days ago the knicks were going to be champs, then 2 games and they were going to get killed... but today... they are kings again... the pacers are a young team, more talented (considering the injuries), but the knicks core is the Nova Core... heart. that is just my feeling... The Knicks including Donte played hard on defense and so his offense was not needed as much last night. He is the kind of player that, like Hart, he does whatever is needed to help the Knicks win. When the horn sounds in game 6, mark my words Donte will play a vital role in this upcoming game!!!

My opinion & guess is that you are probably right that game # 7 is going to happen, but I still wouldn't put it past the Knicks to close it out especially if it's close in the 4th quarter down the stretch. I too agree it is most likely coming back to MSG. & staying away from betting either way. GO KNICKS! I have been a fan for 54 long years & been in waiting for Them to Show Past Glory of the likes of the Team that showed the guts & grit that this team has done. Time will tell

Two scenarios for Game 6. The momentum from Game 5 carries over and the Knicks win the Series. McBride on Haliburton was perfect. Mc Bride gave Haliburton the same treatment Jalen Brunson is getting. Or the other scenario is Indiana will look to be very physical. They will rough up if not hurt Jalen Brunson. So if I'm Thibs I would not be opposed to doing a Game 4 again. Rest his players. Keep them healthy. And then win Game 7.

Halliburton was playing like it was a preseason game no sense of urgency it was pathetic

I understand that Hartenstein is gonna wanna get paid, but he needs to remember that its no coincidence that players are having career seasons when playing for Thibs.. hart, divincenzo, hartenstein, anunoby, brunson.. remember before these guys came to the knicks they were okay/solid players.. but each of them have been elevated to star levels.. you think the raptors were 31-5 when anunoby was in the lineup?? no they were a crap team.. anunoby was a solid player but he was never the stud he became when he was traded.. hart bounced around to the lakers, blazers, pelicans before coming to the knicks.. now he's indispensable.. donte was buried on the dept chart with the warriors and bucks, playing like 10-15 minutes, now he's a stud.. brunson I don't even need to say.. he was a bench player in dallas, and Thibs cultivated him a designed an offense around him to maximize his skills.. he did with rose and now he's doing it with brunson.. its no coincidence people Thibs deserves a lot of credit.. and more importantly, if these players think other coaches will put in a position to succeed like Thibs has, you are dead wrong.

Combining their learning how to play Pacers and the newly improved insertions of Deuce and Burke? And is DiVencenzo due? Hart and Hartenstein's motors are running. Deuce is alright! Brunson is back on track! If Knicks can bring a piece of the D and rebounds they had tonight. Plus the guys that scored tonight. And the others wake up, no doubt Knicks can wrap it up Friday! And it'll give Hart and Brunson some time to do their podcast! And hopefully I can visit the team at their practice facility in Valhalla and get some autograpks. Pacers are as soft as Charmin toilet paper. Knicks will take it to them in Indiana on three days rest. Pacers will come out with desperation but the Knicks just need to take the first punch and then let Brunson take over in the 4th quarter.
