I love your videos on the shudder fixx.... going to buy through your link. Thank you for the honesty. Lubegard should support you. Cheers and a fantastic 2022.
The plastic gas filler tube I bought at autozone for my ford fits perfectly in the transmission dipstick tube to add lubeguard shudder fix treatment, I used snips to trim the plastic tube of lubeguard and only got a drop spilled on my fingers. It is slippery stuff ! And thank you for your excellent videos, well done sir
ATTENTION FOR ANY FORD VEHICLE OWNERS: Get the Motorcraft XL3 Friction Modifier, 4 oz. bottle. Add to transmission fluid and your torque converter shudder will disappear. This is NO DOUBT the best solution for this problem. If one bottle does not do the job, add a second bottle. My 2008 Explorer 4.6 6sp transmission shifts like new at 207,000 miles. :)
I have a 2000 Ford Expedition with 270k miles. I have had the shudder for a very long time. I recently tried one tube of the product thanks to your video and the shudder has almost disappeared 100%. Thank you. FYI - I have changed the transmission fluid every 30k miles since 80k miles. I highly recommend Motorcraft’s transmission fluid over the other brands.
Man, that is so good to hear!! I'm going on 10k miles since adding that small portion of the bottle to my transmission. I will not be changing the fluid, unless I feel I have no choice but to do so. However, like you, I believe in using all motorcraft fluid and genuine parts. Thank you!
The short answer is "No" but it's not because I didn't try. Every dealership I took it to refused to do the flush at 60,000 miles. They all said it wasn't necessary. I then asked them to drop the pan, change fluid+filter and refill and they declined to do that as well.
Thats the reason you having transmission issues, any reputable transmission shop would have done the work for you and way cheaper than the dealership all the dealer going to do is charge you 3 times as much.
BTW....CRC Guaranteed to pass additive is supposed to clean the fuel system and catalytic converter and supposedly the O2 sensors and maybe fix the other engine light problem. ????
I have a 2011 Ford Expedition with 228k on it. My Transmission started doing this at about 220k. I put some this in my transmission and so far it is not doing the shutter anymore. I hope to get 30k before it comes back.
Once my shudder returned a fourth time, I went ahead and changed my transmission fluid and filter without adding more instant shudder fixx. I had to repeat the process 14,000 miles later (as shown in later videos) but this seemed to do the trick. I believe it might have been better to change the fluid and filter after the first time. The instant shudder fixx is a great tool to determine what's wrong with your transmission but it won't permanently fix the problem. Then again, nothing is permanent when it comes to cars & trucks anyway 😅 Thanks for sharing your experience and subscribing!!
For years, I and many others have been told that changing the fluid would make matters worse if you had any kind of issues. I'm glad I didn't continue to follow that advice. I've changed the fluid a couple of times already and documented my progress on this channel.
If instant shudder works your than supposed to put in lube gard platinum, its made from the same company that makes shudder fix but its a "long term shudder solution".
Yep, it's certainly a path you can take, as I've illustrated in other videos but dropping the pan, draining the ATF and changing the filter is the true remedy once Instant Shudder Fixx helps you to determine your issue.
I understsnd the concious if selling to another person but to a dealership screw them they would charge you a exponentially higher to fix let alone if they sold you are thr csr in thr firsr place
I did the shudderfix today, and I can say the design of the tube is the worst. I got a good bit of the lube on myself and the ground. it should come with an inch of flexible tubing at the tip. that would solve a lot of issues with putting it in the tranny. as far as how effective the lube is, so far so good, but I'm at less than 100 miles. you should youtube transmission fluid drain and fill. also, how to change out the filter. May save you the cost of a new tranny.
Thanks for updating. Just had to add to my 2014 cx9 at 115k miles. Let us know how it goes. Did you get your codes addressed? Thanks for doing youtube brother
You're welcome. The codes were being cause by the turbo coolant lines leaking into the catalytic converters. It's back at the dealership as we speak. Video coming soon...
You are correct! However, what little bit I did get to go in has worked for over 5,100 miles so far!! I'll be sticking with this stuff until the wheels fall off this Navigator 😂
Yeah, I was convinced that I was gonna try it now I am not that convinced I am not going to do that to my transmission that didn’t fix for you ain’t gonna fix for me that’s crap
Get rid of it probably going to have to replace the transmission and even then it might not still fix the problem. It’s the type of transmission that’s in that vehicle traded in. Let it be someone else’s problem like it was your problem because that’s what happened to you so I know people are gonna read this comment and say what an asshole I’m gonna ask you all would do the same thing that I will I did don’t say you wouldn’t if you said you wouldn’t you lying to yourself
