Guys, if your cells have more than one word(first name, last name, etc) you have to add quotes to it. Example: using the same example that the instructor gave, the first cell should be ="MD """&B3&"""" This will sort it. By the way, great video. Short and objective. Thanks
Wow oh my gosh! this is such a helpful trick to use in daily work! : ) I thought I had to visual basic in Excel develop tab, but this way is much much easier than that! if all folders are created, then I can delete the folder BAT file, right? : )
Unfortunately, I had a problem with the bat program creating 2 folders for every person with a first and last name in one cell. I tried putting quotes " around both names but got some weird symbols in the folder names and it didn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Create one field. Put in " into that field, say cell A1. Put your names in Column B. CONCAT all together... =CONCAT("MD ",$A$1,B1,$A$1) That's for the first name. drag down and you'll get MD "Yukishiro Honoka" Run that in BAT file and you'll get your spaces
Is there a way to make subfolders within the folders it creates? In other words, if i want to create a template folder structure in Windows and I want it to auto-populate the main folders and all folders downstream is that possible?
I accidently create one subfolder. Using "/" the text that follows this is created as a subfolder e.g. MD Car Brands/Ford will create a subfolder named Ford within the folder Car Brands. Hopefully you can play around with it of and work out how to create multiple subfolders

While true, yes - this is an easy way if you have to create a huge list of folders. Example, my company needed to create a folder list of all of our employees. This made it super simple and did what would have taken me at least an hour in 30 seconds. (Did I still get paid for that hour? Yes, yes I did)
