Your video is well put together. The music and your background are a nice touch. I've had this camera for a few years and I thoroughly enjoy all of my pictures I've taken throughout my travels. Nice to see a fresh review of an awesome camera that is a few years old.
Thanks, the camera is definitely a bit old now but what’s nice about film stuff like this is it was already “outdated” to begin with haha. It’s not like the newer instax cameras are really any better when they use the same film.
Totally enjoyed this video! :) I already own the 90, but still searched here to see what all newer videos about the camera have come up. And that's how I ended up here. Totally loved your presentation. Subscribing as that's the least I can do to support your channel. :)
Thanks! Hope to review more similar stuff and vintage things. My video camera recently broke on a shoot though. I haven’t made a video explaining the situation yet cuz of the complexity but I do plan on replacing the camera in the next month so stay tuned!
The “ugly” weird color cameras are a design from about 2001, also wacky Japanese design work. Try some b&w film - though not truly b&w - more green/gray/white.
I can see it now and it makes sense. But man I would not have gotten that myself. They look like buttons with how they’re split up like that, especially cuz the grip it provides is so subtle.
Hey thanks a lot! Yeah I’m still tryna really perfect the style and improve it every video. I’m glad you like it and hope you stick around to see the channel grow!
Great video! Your facial expressions and prose make the difference! I'm probably going to go buy on of these! I remember all too well the original polaroids. I still have some I took in the early 1980's. Though faded, they are very cool looking!
I spent many years as a professional photographer (back in the film days) and used a lot of Polaroid for a variety of purposes. Back then, we'd say that it did a fair job of reproducing a few colors some of the time. It's improved greatly but still seems temperature sensitive. I have the Mini 90 and always put the ejected print in my shirt pocket to develop if possible.
I'm liking the Wide 300 just because of the larger print size. The problem with all instant cameras is that if you're with a group of people and take their picture, they ask if they can have it. So you never end up with something to keep. :-)
I’m new to instant photography, and cameras in general. Do you think a better purchase is this camera or the instax mini 11? I want to stay with the mini film as it’s readily available in my area. Thanks in advance!
Hii for starters think of how you'll use your camera. If you like it simple and just press picture "point and shoot" then the 11 is for you but if you're more experimental or leaning towards learning more about instant photography then the 90 it is. Hope this helps💜
@@CollectingWeekly oh welcome and congrats, I'm getting one on my birthday which is next year still soo long and yet I've binged vids about the 11 or the 90 that I practically know everything about them and yet I still am not solid on which one to get 😂
Hey it would be cool if you could make a video how you make all the settings on your camera or how you edit videos and pictures in this retro looks or what presets do you use.
i just got mine today, the first photo was too white, the second kinda blurry, and for the rest the flash doesn't come off and the photos were all black. what could be the problem, any tips to solve this??
Framing wise, as long as you are a decent distance away then yes. If you are very close then the viewfinder will be a bit off to the side but you’ll learn to compensate. As for like lighting, it can take some practice to know what will look good and what won’t. Sometimes things may be too bright or dark. But the auto settings are pretty good at making sure it looks good with flash or not.
I actually started to write it then it became way longer than I wanted haha. I’ll probably still get around to shooting it when I hit a point where I can’t think of anything else to do.
Ok update: I actually just looked back at the script to consider filming the tutorial next. I now remember the main reason I didn’t get to it. At the the time I was short on cash and didn’t wanna go buy a bunch of film for the video haha. I got some funds now so it may come soon on the list? We’ll see
Hey guys help me!! Which one is better in terms of the features and the quality of the photo, mini 90 or liplay? I appreciate it for those who will reply on me!! Thanks!
After I take a photo, can I leave the battery in or do i take it out after use? Just bought the camera a few weeks ago and i adore it! Have to get more film though hehe.
