Enough with Chelameswar and his statement. SC is no more Supreme Court for common people, but such types of guys made SC as Secured Center for rich and corrupt leaders only. Bottom line is : People of India are loosing trust on SC.

Few thing rajdeep should know, according to him everyone/everything should be perfect which obviously everyone want and strive for but look who is giving the sermon, a backscratcher of a family who never strived to be anything other than a licker. I have seen this tendency in left supported idiots they have issues with every government institutions and processes (as their ideology teaches them) but zero alternative and if they have an alternative it will so unrealistic, heavenly that it would never grow after sowing as each of us at individual levels have set of belief on how things should be and they the killer mindset, authoritarian mindset who would only gel with hated and blood flow ,i.e equal distribution of wealth (Stalin killed in lakh but still that murderer is a hero). They are the becon of misguided educated thoughts who create fallacies, fake data, concoting stories, create fake institutions just to suit them and if you don't believe them they will prove there intelligence by call you bhakts, patriarchal, intolerant...etc. They believe in distributing certification, how good-bad or intolerant one is even if they are from that coward crowd that won't even have the guts to sit on the discussion table and listen to you if you have a different viewpoint to theirs. Maximum appointment happened in last 4yrs ,it was backlog of earlier govt.for all sins of earlier govt this govt is working overtime to wipe of their sins.there was policy paralysis in last govt which has taken Country back by 20yrs & this govt has taken this Country to new hts...

When judiciary stamped on medical field with consumer protection act medical institutions got its worst blow.Where as there is still no word as engineering negligence Journalist negligence bureaucratic negligence,economists negligence, political negligence legal negligence the word medical negligence had become a freely usable word on every ones lips What profession was essentially a "calling" and not a business was stamped as commercial activity.The generalist judiciary sits and decides on a totally different field from what has been studied by them Trying to solve intricate details of a given complaint by " expert," witnesses is not the correct approach.Moreover the heroic tendency to take sides of the complainant who is perceived automatically as an underdog is another factor.Not to speak of long time consumed which is highly detrimental to full time active doctors with commitments towards other patients. Previously existing laws were enough to tackle errant doctors and hospitals but the whole medical field was categorized as trade and made doctors liable to suing by patients .Anerican rules and legal points but no american pay and no American facilities to match .Indian fees and American compensation .The results are there to see.Rising medical costs for poor Defensive medical practice loss of art of Medicine loss of general practitioner care , Intelligent youngsters shying away form medical career lack of respect to doctors and nurses . Executive,Judiciary,Legislative all being held accountable but media which siphoning huge black money for decades, when will be held accountable. Since if media which is being stated as fourth pillar of democracy remain with impeccable integrity than certainly today the country wouldn't had been facing so much of vulnerable issues. So better media first introspect itself for being remain neutral and apolitical in issues of public interest.
Chelameshwar reminds me of babasaheb amdbedkar. Very genuine person. Rest two are just trying to defend the status quo. If previous govt has made mistakes it doesn't give u liberty to commit mistakes and justify em, Other two are just doin tht.

because reserve bank is a part of the government.. It has the largest reserve among all the central banks, had it been the case that india was most unstable economy it could have been justified but it's not. Why is reserve bank sitting on such a huge sum? what's the rationale? Explain. When the same money can grow at 7-8 or even at much higher percentages, create jobs, boost economy etc, then why keep it idle? At least RBI must give a valid reason.

Let us first have the Judiciary accountable to the people of India - ~36 million "real" cases pending,some decades old, in Indian courts and milords are deeply involved in vanity casess like Sabarimala, Jallikattu, Dahi handi, etc. In US judges are elected by the people, here our judges have framed a system in the 1990's called the collegium with an opaque system of appointing judges known only to them and which was not there in the original Constitution of India. Also, some "small" reforms are required like courts working regular days like the rest of us mortals and not have prolonged summer and winter holidays !

Mr Binod Rai has no moral right to debate any issue since while holding a constitutional post as CAG, he leaked his report on 2G to give upper hand to the then opposition and not surprising that he got a new job on behest of present government as prize. A person who occupied a constitutional post should not accept any government assignment after retirement as done by Mr Chalameswar.

All institutions of the nation should be made accountable by the constitutional amendments, and there we.should be free with regional constraints,or check and balances to change the Constitution according to the circumstances and should not made it sacrosanct....And my personal desire is to make media be made accountable first as early as possible.
Justice department or Courts and their judges should be the very first in the priority chain. They're already living in 18th century of "their lordships" need to bring them in 21st century by ensuring, quick justice, efficient process and accountability of the system.

either sitting or retired judges should never participate in the talk shows, in fact there should be a complete ban on the judges to hold any kind of correspondence with the media, violation should result in dismissal and loss of pension in case of retirees.

The hallmark of an advanced democracy is to keep judiciary, law enforcement, and defense forces kept independent of the politics. The lesser the interference by political establishment, the stronger these institutions become. That is the way to sustain democracy. Anything else is dangerous. This is more important during times when one party has just about decimated the opposition therefore law enforcement & judiciary are the two things that can ensure a high degree of integrity in the governing body's behavior.
I came into this video with a jaundiced view on retired justice Chelameshwar. It felt to me like the public press conference conducted by the four judges under his apparent leadership was for some vested agenda outside the judicial workings. But in this debate he came out as a honest and intelligent person. His remarks on the need to debate the past judgements of upcoming judicial appointees and the presence of an inherent tension between the judiciary and the Govt, all seem to be valid and makes sense to me as layman. Sanjeev Sanyal's remarks come out like from a spin doctor, which given his job as an advisor to the Govt is understandable.
