Hi Tom, we recommend changing the resin after about 600 square meters cleaned. Another factor that affects the durability of the resin is the water hardness. its a rip off,its the way unger makes money from people,the older machine was exactly the same but you could put loose resin in it from any company,so they change it so no old pats are interchangable so you have to buy a new unit.
