This is one of the most informational videos on the J1939 especially coming from someone who doesn’t work on these thing regularly I really appreciate it!
I really like how you redrew that circuit to make it easier to understand. That certainly helps us learn. Thank you so much. Excellent content you are producing.
They won't teach you this in school! Read the books and get all the training you can get after school! The school will build your base, so its not bad!
Great video, I have a 2000 Tradewinds Rv with the Cat 3126 diesel and the instrument cluster doesn't work. I am going to try and check it out thanks to your video. Thanks for the details. Are you close to New Jersey?
Hi bro, you did a great technical explanation with lots of tips. Plz, how can i get a soft copy that can decode the VIN of trucks? Thanks for your videos as we look forward to more. 🚛
Gnii Autodocs Thank you!! I use the TEXA Software from DIesel Laptops, you can Google them and get their contact information so you can call them, they should be able to help you!!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair ok thank you. You seem very knowledgeable keep up the good work! I enjoy your videos very much! Now is there an external device and app that i can connect to my j1939 port and create basically a second digital dashboard that i can display using a tablet and be able to read my gauges with that while i figure out how to fix my dashboard? Something like blue fire perhaps? Any recommendations?
What scanner do you use for the Cat C7? Our 2003 motor home is a Freightliner with a 3126E (predecessor to the C7). The Cat E.T. software is very expensive. Is your scanner a generic one that works with different brands of engines. Thanks
Rick L yes I use a Diesel Laptop to scan the buses and medium duty vehicles that I work on!! they have a big variety of scan tools for school buses, you should check them out!!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair The name of the company is "Diesel Laptop"? Thanks for replying, I really enjoy watching you track down a problem and figuring out the solution.
I have a 1994 international school bus 3800 DT466, and the miles do not roll as the bus moves. I bought the bus in this condition. Any idea what causes the miles not to move? Thank you.
Cesar Orozco I have a video on this channel that shows how to fix that kind of problem, it's on a freightliner school bus, look for that video, this problem can be caused by a defective vehicle speed sensor or the wiring etc...
