"From Me to U" marks the first official album by American rapper Juelz Santana. It came out on August 19, 2003, as scheduled, under Diplomat, Roc-A-Fella, and Def Jam. The album was considered as Juelz Santana's personal introduction to the mainstream music scene, showing his thoughts and style. After making appearances on different street mixtapes and benefiting from The Diplomats' success, Santana became the second member of the group to launch a solo album, following the group's leader, Cam'ron.

LaRon Louis James, born on February 18, 1982, known as Juelz Santana, is an American rapper and part of the East Coast hip-hop group, the Diplomats, also called Dipset. He gained fame for his role in Cam'ron's 2002 hits "Oh Boy" and "Hey Ma," which reached high positions on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Santana's collaboration on Chris Brown's 2005 song "Run It!" became a massive hit, staying at the top of the chart for five weeks and earning triple platinum status from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He also made a name for himself as a solo artist with his 2005 single "There It Go (The Whistle Song)," which reached number six on the chart and earned platinum certification from the RIAA.
