Yes we do or we convert it to something else but if you're going from ortho to vascular, most things will be thrown and yes it s a big waste.

Lol I'd ask sterile processing department. One time there was these big ass rongeurs from ortho to a neuro tray.

Although I have not used them on the body (In ortho), they can be used for various things. We have Physician Asst come in and sometimes we'll hand them the gown with it to prevent them from getting a dirty gown (IF the gown is on our field away from blood), we will use it if we need to use a Lateral X-rays to hold the bottom of Medium drape and keep part of it sterile, and if you're ever using a Hana Table you will usually place clamps at the bottom of the shower curtain drape. (Foresters are perfect for that since they'd never get used.)
