Sir, which is best between HDFC life and SBI life. Though HDFC life seems to be market leader, there has been a severe cut in promoter shareholder % in last 1 yr (from 76% in Mar2019 to 63% in Mar2020). Also sales, profit, cashflow, EPS of HDFC Life is lesser than SBI life. Also, PB, PE ratio, are higher for HDFC life.

What about unethical play played by ICICI bankers getting multiple life insurance for farmers in Maharashtra? Even with unethical behavior market is giving 122 PE for the company? I feel pressure on Managers is high and which is really bad for company.

The companies are grossly expensive trading at the PE of 80+ . Remember if the business is lucrative lot of other will start piling up. With Fintech companies, disruption is around the corner. I don’t believe it would be wise to buy expensive, while other business stocks are available at dirt cheap rate.

They charge many charges such as allocation charge etc. But the best charge which I read in the policy document of icici pru life was of fund management charged 1.35% daily on total fund value. Do u get the point 1.35% daily

this logic is very poor just by showing the insurance penetratin because you are just comparing america with india. you should how how hard the life becomes in usa if you dnt have insurance compared to india. Indian middle family better off their savings rather than buying a premium and i knw that because i m in same business. Also insurance business will grow only when its very hard to live without insurance in India its very easy to live without it. Its very hard to sell life insurance in India people have other options cheap government hospitals and even individual brilliant doctors who see patient at a affordable price. Also there are many hospitals which run by donations from babas and see patience for free. In America case is very different you dnt get such benefits and people have to pay very high prices just for basic things which is basically free in india.
