Good on you Grant, had a similar thing a few years ago, insurance almost had the recovery truck on the way until I told them to Ruck Fight Off. settled with them and repaired it myself

Wouldn’t you been better to get the neighbour to pay you for the repair to save on the extra premium you’ll end up paying in the future. (Even though you were not at fault)

No premium went through there insurance didn’t contact ours at all

@@grantssmartrepairs You'll probably still get the 'have you had any accidents, claims in the last 5 years' at your next renewal. They penalise you even if your car was parked and unoccupied , shouldn't be legal 😧

@@Macmonkey1000 Didn't affect mine after some idiot pulled out of side road into my rear wing about 12 years ago, made 3rd party claim and got £1750 for repairs. No increase in premium as my own insurer wasn't involved in claim process 👍
