And it would be easier to take a dump in a cologuard box and get accurate results. I'm not brushing fecal toilet water on 2 squares. This is , pun intended, CRAP
The instructions that come with the kit say, "brush the stool", not "brush the water around the stool". Which I only learned after 15 minutes of research. Until they give specific intructions they will keep receiving poop-filled test cards.
So stupid this test I brushed the stool when I transferred it obviously there was still stool on the brush made a nice brown water stain on the card so I'm sure that voided the test. Not doing this one again was much easier crapping in a plastic bowl and sending it 😂😂
Very confusing...if you follow the instructions and collect a water sample you will also collect feces on the brush but the instructions have on big bold letters saying WATER ONLY which is telling me that they are very strict about it and don't want feces on the sample...maybe make it clear and don't beat around the bush and say..."don't brush the sample with hard crap but brush the crap gently with a few strokes and then smear the wet brush on sample 1 and it's ok to have some crap coloring like tea but not solid crap like peanut butter"
Te la Doy Yes there will be stool on the brush they know water will also be on the brush just did this test and I got stool on the card ! My results just came back I am wondering how accurate this test is does anyone know please? Ty
resnin I did it and had some stool on it not clumps though it came back neg can’t seem bring myself to get something stuck up my rear at this time sigh 😔
I spoke with an InSure One representative, and they told me you are only supposed to collect a sample of the water around your poop… And do not pee in the toilet.
Then why do they say to shake it to make sure no pieces of stool is on the brush. I read if you have loose stool the stir the water around stool. I'm confused
To Clinical Genomics: A serious question: If just the water smear is required, could one boil water, let it cool, and put the feces in a container with the water? There would be no chance of the toilet bowl's waste system chemicals or other things contaminating the test.
That one wouldn't work. You'd have to use distilled water instead. This test looks for hemoglobin, or the iron from it. Boiling water wouldn't remove any iron. Distilled or RO water should have no residual iron.
Instructions are a bit confusing. It is a "water only" test, but the instructions say brush stool with brush. Hmmmm? My first test was voided because there was stool. Hmmmm? Also, I did not have the instruction sheet they show in this video.
My Dr’s staff tried to explain it. I figured it would have good instructions. My kit did not have an instruction pamphlet. Had to search on line. Even though it’s confusing, it was better than nothing. Best help came from posts.
What ingredient of toilet paper can effect results? I get the general testing best-practice of eliminating a variable whenever it's doable. Just curious what ingredient(s) of toilet paper is known to skew this kit's results?
They should tell you on the second brush to use a different part of the stool. The directions on the paper are very confusing only because it’s not what we’re used to doing this video helped but again you should use a different part of the store for the second sample.
@@eddyvideostar Trump was the best President the United States ever had moron. Resident Biden is out of his mind & the Country is on the verge of collapse. Assh+les like YOU should NOT be allowed to vote! We have tests for getting a driving license but not for voting. That needs to change! Low IQ, low information people should not be allowed to vote!
It is a little confusing but I just watched a instruction video for the technician at one point says "in case patient sent too much matter". Got a litte
The part about swishing around and through loose stools helped me understand what they want better than the “brush the stool” instructions. I think. They want you to paint the card squares with poo adjacent water, not with solid feces. Whew.
Two questions: 1. If we have fully dispersed (liquid or extremely watery) diarrhea, given that the second brush is to be used to collect a "control" sample, should we flush before using the second brush? If we don't, then the two samples will be essentially identical. 2. Could you possibly have selected more annoying and distracting background music? Really.
one is for toilet paper as you clean yourself after your bowel movement. Don't drop it in the toilet, use the bag. 2nd is for the used brushes. Put them in the bag, and dispose of properly in trash.
@@durgan5668 thanks for the explanation. i would sure recommend the co cut that to one bag, due to the plastic production and landfill clogging impacts on global warming. it was no problem for me to put the paper and brushes in the same bag.
To Clinical Genomics: A serious question: If just the water smear is required, could one *improve the quality of the water* before by boiling, let it cool, and defecate a little into a container with the water? There would be no chance of the toilet bowl's waste system chemicals or anything backing in to contaminate the test. One would have ultra-clean water to work with.
That one wouldn't work. You'd have to use distilled water instead. This test looks for hemoglobin, or the iron from it. Boiling water wouldn't remove any iron. Distilled or RO water should have no residual iron. Merely boiling water doesn't remove anything, it only kills bacteria and parasites that might be present in the water. In killing them, it leaves their tiny corpses floating in the water.
Wow! Thank you so much! I finally got how to really collect a sample. And it a big difference. Here they say to brush the stool, but they call it "water test, no feces, please'. Now it is clear that water around stool is collected only..
These idiots don’t know that poop floats thus if you do what’s shown in the video you will end up touching the stool with the brush, because it IS NOT BELOW the water level.
Even in the video it say clearly @ 2:45 "brush the surface of the stool for about five seconds" then later it says you don't need feces, but you brush it for 5 seconds you're gonna get feces, I wish I didn't watch the video it's more confusing then the instruction card.
