this is one of the highest most underated games of the FPS genre and thats why its so great. Mostly mature player base and acts very closely to an arcadish milsim
@@lulurobot2065 Well let's be honest, most online pvp games get boring pretty quick, like a year of life until it gets recycled again - except for some few ones, like battle royale games and one offs like valorant. This game to my knowledge is more like the latter instead of the recycled stuff, maybe you don't get hyped for the new next thing/update very much, but the game itself is still fun.
@@arberchabot8760 by who? I was a scout platoon leader (with snipers) and a DRT commander (with snipers). I graduated from the Army's sniper employment school before it closed. My snipers had three sniper rifles to choose from, and none of them were DMRs; The M107, M110, and M2010. The M14 EBR was a DMR weapon, but we were only issued those briefly overseas. A DMR is designed to fill the gap between 300-600 meters. The M110's max effective range is 800 meters. Same as the old M24 SWS was coincidently.
You are wrong, many gun enthusiast and noobs (like me) have been stating that Insurgency has more accurate sound design for down range shooting, vets reacted that the incoming fire is more accurate on Insurgency Sandstorm than MW2019 and EFT. EFT has way better gun mechanics and balancing though. Also EFT has better overall graphics. Reload animations are better on Insurgency as well. If you disagree then just know that more qualified individuals made that opinion, you can still have yours. Fingers crossed for another installment of Insurgency for consoles, EFT has a lot to do if it wants to build player base.
@@brianginex4834 Bullet cracks in WZ are very dramatic. Most sounds in warzone are low-end heavy to compensate for bass audio. Since explosions can only be "felt" via controller vibration, CoD audio design focuses on bass response since many users play on MnK. Unfortunately, there isn't a triple A title that has this kind of audio design. battlefield 4, 1, V are exceptional audio pieces with more balanced audio than WZ, but there is a "cinematic" mix defaulted into it because they emphasize player-produced audio immersion, which is amazing, but a lot goes into making it present but not necessarily accurate. EFT, Insurgency, and even squad do not go into audio balancing the same as mass produced titles because they are niche game developer. CoD and Battlefield want audio that is competitively fair or theatrical. These games, even with a lower budget, have a more raw implementation of sound which has its pros and cons. Pros are that the sound is "realistic" for current audio standards and cons are that there isnt much gameplay design mixed with it (think of how r6 siege does sound by tracing it to the nearest route to the source and not just the direction the source is coming from). Or how CoD does exponential proximity audio which makes CQB more tense because of all the stomping you hear within 15 meters.

@@iknowwhatimtalkingabout7045 I’m sure they had to get the licensing, but even some battlefield games get the sounds wrong, but these guys know exactly how these weapons sound, perform, look, etc. the tarkov devs do weapons testing in real life to get exactly right. I’m sure that’s what these guys did.
I had a buddy shoot his 7 inch suppressor yesterday, on his 9mm, and I was impressed at how much sound it really does reduce. Could take my headphones off and everything

I play on console and some of the small visual details aren’t there. Also, there seems to be some glitching with sounds every once in a while where I can’t hear my gun or people walking up on me. But hopefully those will be sorted out in the future. All in all it’s a super fun game.
My xbox one had issues with it. 30fps, sound glitches, terrible frame drops in smoke and ministry map. Bought a series x just for this game and it runs absolutely fantastic. 60fps
I like seeing the different routes people take to objectives when they're playing solo offline against the bots. This is one of my favorite ways to play too. For Hideout as Security I will usually totally avoid the route this guy takes to A, because that's where most of the enemy is usually. I'll go down across the stream instead of over the bridge and take the back stairs up to the 2nd floor, work my way around the little balcony and toss a nade down the steps into the main room.

Also they need to simulates well the crack sound of bullets and the actual sound of the gun fire after it. In Tarkov, several times the supersonic bullets sounded like subsonic. I think the designers are aware of this, but, for now they focus on progress in other aspects, that it's good but always and when comes the day that they get better the sound system of weapons.

imagine comparing shit game like bf2042 to (for me) the best tactical shooter on steam. A game from 2018 has better graphics than a game from 2021, pretty usual at gaming these years.
Insurgency made a HUGE mistake not taking this installment to consoles. This on PS5 with next gen performance and adaptive triggers would instantly get a large player base. Blows my mind that Insurgency: Sandstorm did not go at least Xbox considering how popular Insurgency (the first one) was.
I love this game on Xbox one! I got my friend to get it and was disappointed in him not liking it lol. He complained about campers and stuff, I told him I was like man if you're playing this with the cod mentality wanting to run around and show off you're not gonna enjoy it. This game isn't meant to test your reflexes against other nerds online, the stuff that works well in sandstorm are the same tactics that work well in real life. Sure it's somewhat of a "blocky" game but it's meant to be so it's harder to play the way people play call of duty, but I definitely don't mean that in a bad way, the gunplay as well as the sounds are as good as anything I've ever played. In my opinion, for people who don't have a PC to run games like "Arma 3" and "Squad" , this is the absolute best game for milsim on console! The co-op and versus are super fun but my favorite thing about it is that it's a great platform for roleplaying, a little small and I'm still not sure how to set up private lobbies or just control a public one, but if you get some friends who'll take it seriously with you, this game is a ton of fun to get into and do some roleplay/milsim especially if you have enough to have both teams, can set up missions aside from the objectives in game and it can get interesting. And now that it's over to consoles, it's consolidated above cod and bt, at least for me it's the best real shooter I've ever played, I play it on X series and I'm addicted! Is incredible! Hopefully in the future they will add more and more maps
I love how realistic and immersive this game is. I remember seeing a bodycam of a raid in Kandahar, Afghanistan. 3 US marines entered a room just as an IS fighter opened a door. They lit him up and his rifle immediately noclipped through the door.
Its a great game but I just hate suicide dudes that kill you through a building wall and the fact theres always one dude that wants to F around and shoot his team mates and then complain when you drop a airstrike on his head even though youve warned him 8 times were calling in a strike on that area on the area with the red smoke signal and then the dude dies and screams at you for dropping a bomb on his head ??

Most don’t have a pc to play it on. Would be cool to have a game like this on console. Though I’d say the players should move a little slower, real life infantrymen aren’t exactly athletes
This is what cheating in sandstorm looks like knows where every enemy is at never gets shot in the back on the most realistic shooter ever and aim never misses an enemy

Its video codec, any game wont look smooth while playing but if you record it it'll look smooth bcuz of the video codec used to turn it into a video file
No realism at all. Look at the hard lines at the edge of the water and some other areas, The camera movement sucks. The smoke glitches out. The shadows and overexposed lighting. Reminds me of Counter Strike from 20 years ago.
Don't know why this game can't compete against COD !? Because this game has everything... I mean everything, it is fast if you want to play fast... it has good maps and a great pack of realism !! I bought it when it came out but haven't played it since. And I'm really shocked at how the game turned out.

Me and my two pals were calling in airstrikes while 5 dudes surrounded that area and took out enemys then we call it in tell them before hand 4 fall back to us and 1 dude just sits there as we watch a strafe run obliterate him along with 8 rebels insurgents and he shouts out wtf man im over here and my mate just shouts at him we told you 8 times did you not here he ledt the game after we just laughed at him
