Exactly, Intel has been on the right track. They are selling Core Ultra chip with comparable price to Amd. They are going to take leadership at handheld market soon leaving steam deck and other who refuse to use intel.
I'm not MSI fans but one thing i really respect is the facts they use Intel chip while others going for Amd because Amd has been so greedy by keep selling the same cpu and gpu and fools people by its naming schemes to make people believe it ws entirely new generation when its not like ryzen 8000 series. I hope other big OEM like ASUS will join Intel handheld market, so tired with Amd nonsense and their broken trash drivers.
Intel I dont know how you plan your roadmaps but Meteor Lake not having integrated Thunderbolt 5 is a huge missed opportunity especially in a device like the MSI Claw. With Thunderbolt 5 you would have a ARC A770 16GB eGPU. Any glad to see Intel finally show up with a solid gaming handheld. I'm waiting for CES 2025 to see MSI Claw with Lunar Lake.
Nothing has ThunderBolt 5 yet except a few Intel laptops with a dedicate chip. So its not like it was something they could easily do. Intel will have the first integrated Thunderbolt 5 product later this year
@@__aceofspades that is why Intel truly missed a golden opportunity. If they had managed to get Thunderbolt 5 done on time for Meteor Lake this would be far more exciting. MSI is also an OEM GPU manufacturer. They could have easily made an MSI Claw with Thunderbolt 5 and accompany it's release with the world's first Thunderbolt 5 Intel ARC A770 16GB eGPU. The same way ASUS released the ROG Ally with XG Mobile eGPU support.
