I live in the Philippines and bought an HP Z230 workstation, E3-1225 V3 for $70 US delivered. Perfect condition with a new 7200rpm drive, it will take 32gb of ram.The E3-1225 V3 has IGPU along with the E3-1246 I believe. Upgrade will be to an E3-1270 V3 soon for another $60 and a GTX1050. I only play 1 game and my son wants to play COD. Excellent video.

On older H81 boards, especially Asus and AsRock you can run the Xeons at the single core turbo when all cores are loaded. At that point, it will outperform the i7 in some scenarios (at least the 1240 v3, the 1230 v3 is still a bit weak with its single core boost).

The whole "xeon is not for gaming" is said because they are usually used for servers that mainly handle multi threaded workloads. Considering this, if let's say you have a 6 core xeon, it isn't necessary that it would perform better in games because most games are not good at utilizing multiple cores. And usually these multiple cores are weak so they can loose against a modern 4 core CPU. For e.g a xeon e5 2690 v3 is a 12 core processor which looses to a i3 12100, because the i3 has fewer but stronger cores. So ye scene hai. Bakhi bhai I love your videos, bohot acha content banatay hou. Also if possible, also dive in the AliExpress xeon x99 gaming motherboard. Uska bhi bohot ala scene hai

Your example doesn't really make any sense. You do know the fact that you're comparing a 4th Gen Xeon processor with 12th Gen right? It's not always about number of cores but also about the architecture and IPC ratings of a processor. If you really want to compare Xeon with any i Series then you have to make sure they are from the same Gen.

@@GuyThatDoesEverything I am sorry my bad, mei upar price ke pov se baat kar raha tha because the xeon and i3 I was comparing cost the same. Bas i3 new hai and it supports new technologies like PCIE Gen 4 and M. 2 SSDs. And I guess older gen CPUs mei it would make sense to go with xeon. But jaha new processor ki baat ati hai the i series is the way to go because a gamer doesn't need 10+ cores and those xeon consume a ton of power. So from that point, xeons are still not ideal for gaming.

Again, your example and comparison is irrelevant for what this exact video is based upon. It's clearly stated in the video "k ajki video un k liye hai jinka budget 40K-50K hota hai". No one in their right mind would think that a processor that was launched in 2014 (even though it has dozens of cores inside) would compare against the latest processor that obviously would have way better TDP and IPC ratings. If you really want apples to apples comparison then you can compare 12th Gen Xeon processors with 12th Gen i Series ones.

People remember that these old xeons were not meant for gaming, but they were designed for workstations. These old i-7s will perform on pair with these old Xeons in gaming, but not in workstations. If you are going to build one of these old med range Xeon gaming rigs. Make sure that you fully utilize PCIe 3 and not PCIE 2. Most of the poor performances in the GPU is because the GPU PCIe 3 is in a PCIe 2 slot.

Awesome video bro, I always thought why xeon weren't as famous as core i processors. Xeons are better binned cpus plus have extra features like virtualisation, pcie bifurcation , ecc memory support etc yet they are cheaper. A consumer chip might have seen use and abuse but servers are well maintained and use in climate controlled environment. didn't expect Nibhan Baig for supplying the builds for this video. Recently bought some ram from him i gotta say hes a real professional and friendly fellow.

Brilliant video. Has this on my mind as well. Xeon is clearly avaliable for cheap giving same speed but not everyone deals in these thus they ate not very popular and the consumer doesn't have enough knowledge either

I7 6700 (65w) vs xeon e5 1650 v2 5%+ (135w) or w3565 8%- (130w) you save 4,5k in xeon but you see difrence in electric bill

I have a second pc, also a Xeon 1230 v3 but overclocked (BCLK 106.3) + Ram 2x8gb 2133mhz CL11-12-12-31 and makes 3928mhz All Core. In Cinebench R15 (multi-core 795 points and single-core 159 points. I would not have thought that there was still so much performance in it as the graphics card is KFA2 GTX1060 6GB oc and it can also be super overclocked. With FullHD there are 60-70 FPS in high to ultra settings, with Esport of course more FPS but these games are not for me.

I personally use E3-1270-V2 maine Eidi jor ke liya tha 💀 and I think so 1270 ki performance I7 4770 ki equivalent hai cause like only 1% difference over all

zeon usually have low clock speed and does not perform well in general, testing on just 3 games does not prove that both are equivalent. Both are made for different purposes.

Mere bhai I'm using xeon since the beginning of times when started working as a 3d animator and 3d modeller.. the only issue it has is that processor keeps heating up after continuous usage.. iska koi hal bta dou?? I'm planning to shift to Intel core coz the softwares I use usually recommend Intel core series more.. although I know they might have some commercial exchange I know.. I have HP z800 with x5675 32gb ram and gtx 1080 8gb..ub power supply ka issue agaya hai... :/

As I have already described in the video, you basically have two different Xeons, one are designed specifically to be installed on server-grade/workstation motherboards and the other ones are for normal desktop motherboards like 2nd/3rd/4th Gen etc. and they are exactly the same as any Core i series processors hence they have same TDP so they don't over heat any more than their Core i series counterparts.
