I've been in software development for over 30 years and have had to learn a lot of different languages and IDEs. Normally when I find a video I expect to be skipping very quickly through the topics because I really just need to get the basics. In this case though, the instructor @amigoscode, does a fantastic job of walking you through all the main topics of IntelliJ. In fact he even goes through creating Kotlin, Maven and Spring Boot project creations as well. If you have made presentations, you know how much work it takes to plan it out, do the work and then redo some audio and all the editing. Well done Nelson! (Next stop for me is your Docker video) BTW, I've used Eclipse for many years and after this video I'll be using IntelliJ because of the number of fantastic features it has)

Can you say what is the problem with my IntelliJ IDEA. It takes too long to start even though I have a i5 10th Gen, 8GB RAM Laptop. But on my friends laptop (which is i3 8th Gen, 4GB RAM) it starts very fast than mine. I'm very much frustrated with this problem.

At 1:15:30, my IntelliJ does not have the number visible next to the different windows, though Alt+Digit works as a shortcut. I'd like to see the numbers in the header (eg. 1: Project), how do I toggle this on?

This is an irrelevant question to the course but I am really interested in this. I saw you using jdbcTemplate everywhere and I was curious why don't you use SpringData. My friend, could you tell me, what do you prefer using as the communication mechanism to the database: jdbcTemplate or ORM+SpringData or some kind of pure JDBC code? There are SQL purists out there and I was really curious about your opinion on this topic.

I a started my first webapp with intelij and spring. I had some html and css files, the problem is that when I run the app and go to localhost 8080 i can see only the html witouth css aplyed, but if i open the html in crome I can see it with the css applyed.....Ideas on how to see the app with css applyed on 8080 when I run intelij?

I'm a Java bootcamp student and a friend told me I need to bail on VS Code for Java and pick up IntelliJ (My bootcamp uses NetBeans, which feels like I'm running Windows XP! Blah). I'm so happy I did and this video helped! It's taken me 2 hours to watch the first hour because I keep pausing to test things out myself. Totally worth it though.
