You nailed it! Started unscrewing around with glove box and decided to go with Plan B (for battery) first. Went inside, ate lunch, and then reconnected the negative cable. Radio worked...literally music to my ears. Thank you! Thank you!
Was about to start with glove box trick, but came upon your video and decided to try that first. Waited 10 min and sure enough, I’m bumping tunes now! Thanks for the video!
Unplugging the battery negative terminal fixed it for me. I unhooked it, pressed the brakes for like 10 seconds and tried to start to clear any power; then reconnected. Working now, everything reset (time, the dash display type, TPMS, etc). Thanks!
My 2017 Silverado did same thing yesterday, I watched this video went outside unplugged my battery negative cable went back in the house took a shower then went back outside hooked battery back up and everything thing worked thanks bro for the info back riding with tunes……
Fixed mine! It was a fuse issue. I went through the steps listed and the screen went back off after 15 minutes. I fixed it by pulling the fuse on the passenger side dash, cleaned the metal prongs on the fuse with a screwdriver (scrapped it to bare metal) and re inserted it. Works and hasn’t turned back off.
My dude! Thank you! I jumped start my 2018 suburban this morning and had the same Issue. The negative terminal fix did it for me. So simple but so effective. I appreciate you
Preciate ya…watched 4 or 5 before getting to urs and they all stopped after unplugging/pluggin in the blue chord but that did nothing for me….the battery cable was my solution…i also cleaned it off with a little baking soda bc there was a good amount of corrosion on there….
Man bro so I have a 2015 Tahoe LTZ and it seems that I’m beginning to see that I’m starting to dish out more and more 💰💸 😭💸💰money on shit that’s breaking on my Tahoe !! I had to replace my struts which the front ones alone are special and are special gas charged alone cost me over $1,000 for just the front ones ! the back ones were $390.00 and then labor and I could go on with other issues so I don’t know if you are starting to see the same with your Denali. But thanks for the tip and I hope it works for me 🤞🍀🙏
I have a 2012 terrain an had to breakdown an go to the dealership for a new radio not sure if mine was able to be repaired at home the guy said it was something wrong with it internal an needed to be replaced anyway granted I bought it used lol so that’s probably why I got a great deal on it
Had same issue with mine and I went to fuse panel under A pillar on passenger side in dash there is a 20amp fuse, (location 18) on mine labeled RDO, pulled fuse to check, was good, re installed fuse, bang working again. Might be easier to pull the fuse to reset power to radio, rather then pull power cable from behind clove box or disconnecting battery.
Same issue here with my 2017 Sierra. Radio Inter Link screen goes blank no power at times. Only way to get it to come on is unplug radio fuse and replug. After that works fine for day or so and issue comes back . I did the battery and blue plug under glove box no work only when I remove fuse and reinstall.
Ok so I was able to fixed the problem! It’s been about 3 weeks now and it’s still working with no issues. So here’s what I did . 1-I unplugged the HMI blue plug that’s under the glove box. 2-Then left it unplugged and went and removed the radio fuse from the passenger side panel. 3-Now that both of those were unplugged, I removed the positive terminal on the battery. 4-I then sat in driver seat pushed on brake pedal, turned light switch on and push on horn so if there was any stored current it would be used . I then waited about 15 min with all the above unplugged. After 15min I replugged in the HMI and I put the radio fuse back in, and lastly I reinstalled the positive battery terminal. It’s been a while now and all working fine… good luck

Mine went blank but the radio and touchscreen still functions. Tried with taking the negative connection off of the battery and it screen is still blank. Are there any more tricks I can use?
I am having the same issue with MALIBU 2016 , I check the computer and it was receiving the programs but not working I remove the battery but it still the same thing What to do?
When my screen went blank, I tried off/on , touching the screen, hitting buttons, fobs and knobs - nothing worked. 2 hours after shut down, I tried the system and it was back.
I ended up replacing the HMI control module again in my 2018 Silverado. The previous owner had already fired the parts cannon at it and replaced the screen , the radio module and the HMI control module. All under warranty so far. Those components are ALL expensive.
What happens when you take out the radio fuse, unplug the connection under the glove box, unplug the negative terminal, and STILL the screen is blank? Am I screwed?
@@boostinwillie I actually just left my Chevy dealer and I had a feeling they were gonna tell me I needed a whole new radio and sure enough I need a new radio. Reminder to everyone. DON’T LEAVE YOUR WINDOWS DOWN WHEN ITS RAINING. It’ll cost you 1k

Did you ever figure out the problem . I’m having same issue when I unplug radio fuse and reinstall it works but some days I start truck and no power to Intel Link radio. I have to remove fuse and reinstall and all works great… any advise on how and if you fixed yours?
@@carleb3157 it looks like you have a bad capacitor inside the radio module check it with used one is located behind the glove box depends on your car model
@@boostinwillie I'm still under warranty. The dealer is putting a new HMU in it today. Had a different issue with the DIC losing my settings after it sits for a day or two. Dealer thinks the new HMU will fix that as well. We will see.
