I've got intellitronix on my GTI. They will take a little more time but very clean,, great quality and way less expensive than Dakota. I just took a little time and wired it up myself saved $$$
Intellitronix reached out to B n Jays Customs to assist with the issue. After helping resolve it, B n J Customs posted an updated video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lsqk5qHNodE.html Intellitronix thanks B n Jays Cusoms for his patience!
call youself a "custom shop" and dont like the custom work. that's like getting a body kit and being pissed you have to do body work to make it fit. buy yourself a terminal block, mount it to the back and have your factory wires connect to the new wires and job is done.
I'm not sure, but I love my Intellitronix gauge panel in my Mercedes, works just great and was easy to install, no problems with Intellitronix products at all...
I wouldnt say they suck. Dakota digital just a more plug and play type of deal.. but then again cant have everything either u pay more money less work. Less money more work it just depends but i feel you and get your point.. i love wiring so i might be somewhat biast lol but to each they own.. great info especially how you give that real world perspective about the average joe compared tona wire guy... im sure anybody can do it just gone take the less skilled in wiring a tad bit longer to finish..
I almost bought it that way for 2nd gen Camaro but got the enclosed sets instead. Wasn't sure the square boards would fit but would have in that housing really. It's a detailed project either ways and helps if your as electronically inclined. I ought to post it too.
