These Intellivision Flashbacks are quite rare these days, and I’m glad to own mine. Before receiving mine as a gift I had actually never heard of Intellivision because it was before my time.
I got one of these back in 2016 at the V.A. canteen on sale for $16.00. Got quite a few years enjoyment before one of the controllers broke. But it was a great way to experience the Intellivision on a budget. Loved that Nightstalker game!
Tron Deadly Discs is one of my all time favorite games from my youth. I have heard the reason Tron never comes with Intellivision packages anymore has to do with the licensing...💯🙏
I picked one of those up back in 2017 at the retail store at Baltimore V.A. I enjoyed it but was a little disappointed that it didn't have many of the licensed arcade games that were ported to the system. Guess that would have required paying for the rights making it too expensive. But I got a lot of use out of that thing. Thanks for the video my friend, Semper Fidelis!
I would have totally bought one if I ever seen it in the store. Was only able to get the Colecovision and Atari ones! Also very cool that you got to have dinner with Keith!
@@BriansManCave I wish I knew that you didn't have one. I had an extra one that I sold last summer. Had I known, I would have sold it to you for a reasonable price.
I remember bugging my pops to get the Atari instead since most of my friends had it. Looking back, I'm glad he didn't. It was a better system than the Atari and I had great memories playing the many games I had with my pops
I’m 55 and I remember these things. Target close, uh oh, that was not the target, watch for flak,for B17 bomber of course. Also, we had the cheaper Sears version, and sticking a regular kitchen suction cup on the disk made the awkward pad seem like a joystick!
@@intellivisiongamer They were only available at CGE2014 as a special only for the show :). It was not released commercially as far as I know. The box had a special sleeve on it that was signed by lots of intellivision programmers. Was just a normal flashback, but the sleeve is what made it cool :). I cherish mine!
@@SVT512 yeah it’s a nice piece! They weren’t allowed to release the console yet at the time of the show so they released the sleeves. Lol. I wasn’t collecting again until 2021 so I missed a lot of good stuff.
