What I miss about Jeddah is the stretch of Palestine street which begins on the intersection with Andalous street and ends up on the Corniche. If you are into all the elements of American culture which make life worth living (Burger King, KFC, Dunkin' donuts, and Starbucks) you will find them all there. My favorite Starbucks in the WORLD was located there; however, the place that I appreciated the most was that wonderful juice shop that offered more than ONE HUNDRED kinds of juices! I can't imagine what they could have been! I, myself, went there for one and only one of their juices which was their incredible pomegranate juice. I have never, in my life, had pomegranate juice that delicious and that fresh. I would take it and sit outside on a beautiful January day and enjoy it while looking at that beautiful pale blue sky under the most perfect weather. This was in 2010-11 and I don't know if that wonderful shop is still there. If it is I would recommend to ANYONE to stop by that juice shop and have a glass of that wonderful pomegranate juice and feel like they are in heaven!
@@snoopdworf5471I am not sure; however, now that you mentioned it it MIGHT have been Juice World. Why was that place your favorite and what did you have there that has stuck in your mind? Is Hiraa Street close to Palestine Street? Surprisingly enough, now that you have mentioned Hiraa Street, that also sounds like a street that I might have seen in my walkings around between Palestine Street and the neighborhood of Rweiss where I used to live. When were you in Jeddah, and have you seen or visited the Starbucks on Palestine Street? It was only a few minutes' walk from the US embassy.
Sometimes I envy those people who document their travels with all the world's cultures and landmarks, and sometimes I say that I really can't do that. Getting to know cultures and peoples far from you and different from them is a beautiful thing, and every country has a different story. I hope I can do that one day.❤

Back in my college days I had the pleasure to visit Saudi Arabia with a friend from there. We toured Riyadh and Jeddah. It was difficult for women to tour without proper dress. Congrats on your trip to Saudi, Matt and Molly. I was going to give you some tips, but I saw in the comments that you were there in Feb. I visited Saudi three times last year (June, Sept., and Nov.) It was one of the safest countries that I've ever visited and the people were very welcoming. I had a 1-year multiple-entry tourist visa, purchased online.

Great video as usual yiu two 👍I must confess I have a real soft spot for MEA I have a serious Nut/Peanut allergy and have to carry Epipens .They was great when I booked the flights they sent me another email to confirm I would be having a different meal etc and did the same for my return journey.When I checked my bags in they confirmed different meal .After I boarded the cabin manager came round and spoke to me to say Nuts /peanuts would not be handed ocomplimentary,also they announced that there was severe allergy on board and telling people not to eat any nuts/peanuts on board .the cabin manager also said if I needed to speak to her anytime I could .She even came round during flight to ask if everything was ok .Absolutely fantastic service I’ve never had anything like it from any other airline to be honest .that was a flight from London to Lebanon 🇱🇧 one of my favourite countries Lebanon 🇱🇧 is out of78 different ones I’ve been to .In top 10 in fact too 5 .On the return flight there was a woman that was quite near me who tried opening up a bag of peanuts and when she said I want to eat them one of stewardesses said very angrily “do you want him to die “ Anyway enough of me waffling have a great time and look forward to your videos as usual .👍👍
ALS, they will love it. On a two hour flight at 3 pm (way past lunch time) from Jeddah to Beirut Saudi Arabian offered a choice of THREE main meals! In the USA you will be lucky to get a main meal on a FIVE hour flight at 6 pm.
Welcome to Saudi you will love it here but I get it when you got out the airport and you were saying it’s hot, it’s so hot here in the summer Saudi people actually travel away in summer time just to escape the heat so yeah in winter time the weather is much nicer. I would recommend south Saudi for cooler weather but it’s not as beautiful as Jeddah and Riyadh if you want local vibes and cooler weather head south. Enjoy❤️
Saudi is one of the most beautiful country saudi people are respected..saudi has lot variety of deliciuos foods that you can find anywhere you are in saudi and big big malls!

There is no country in the WORLD that I have enjoyed more than I have enjoyed Saudi Arabia and it is simply my favorite country in the WORLD (followed very closely by the United Arab Emirates :-) ). My regards to the Saudi people and to the neighborhood of Sleimaniah in Riyadh, and to Palestine street in Jeddah!

I actually had the same problem at Heathrow airport arguing with me that I needed a visa before arrival to Oman when I had already looked it up and confirmed that its visa upon arrival before even booking a ticket. I kept telling them and they had to look it up and finally let me through. That was back in 2009.
Al Barraj, has God created a place like RIYADH? It is my absolute favorite city in the WORLD and the 7 months that I spent in that adorable city were the best 7 months of my life! I would give anything to be back in my beloved Sleimaniyah and to be able to go to MY beloved Tahlia street at 1 pm and sit at the Burger King (this was in 2008-9) and have a cup of coffee while enjoying the view of the beautiful palm trees and that BRIGHTNESS that made me want to sprout wings and just fly over the city! God bless Riyadh (actually, He already HAS!). Enjoy your Riyadh and say hello to the palm trees for me when you go to Tahlia street to have a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. Those palms trees know my name! 🙂

I want to tell you why they ask you these questions even though you are outside their country. They have nothing to do with most of the neighboring countries. They are jealous of the projects coming to Saudi Arabia and do not want tourists to go to Saudi Arabia. You are welcome in our country. I hope you visit Abha because it is the coldest region and has a beautiful atmosphere.
They pulled a stunt on me too! The night manager forced me to give up all my money. I was so naive at the time I just stood their crying. They wanted you to buy a return ticket. Its their way of extortion. I was charged excess luggage apparently. I've been there so many times but the last time they were just brutal.
sezfluffy, don't hesitate, GO! It will be the experience of your life, specially if you are going to RIYADH. I lived in that city for 7 months and it has become my favorite city in the WORLD. I loved its big wide streets and avenues, its wonderful dry desert air, its indescribable BRIGHTNESS that made me want to sprout wings and just fly over the city, and all the wonderful restaurants, malls, supermarkets, and coffeeshops that are everywhere. It's the USA and the Arab Middle East (the Arabian peninsula) rolled in one! Wherever you are going to, don't forget to try the Kabsa! Have a nice trip and good luck!
Saudi Arabia has changed a lot, in a positive way, since MBS became the crown prince . But could it be emerged as an attractive destination for average tourist ?!
we’d say for the average tourist probably not just yet…because of restrictions still but for most people I don’t see why they wouldn’t to explore such a unique and interesting country!

My suggestion: If you think of visiting Saudi Arabia again, visit Medina during Ramadan to document the nightlife in Medina, and you can find Brits studying at the Islamic University in Medina to talk about the importance of Ramadan, why we fast, why we are Muslims, the importance of this month for Muslims, and why Muslims love Jesus pbuh and what is his story in Islam and visit Islamic museums in Medina
