hey mia- i just wanted to thank you for donating to women’s shelters! i worked at a shelter for homeless women for a year and they were always really excited and grateful for the clothing, especially for more “modern” or “in style” clothing. it allowed them to express themselves and really honored their humanity to feel worthy of looking really nice, in clothing that they liked, rather than just having the more typical donations of older style clothes or basic plan pieces. truly, i cannot express to you how happy these women probably feel to be able to feel confident and happy in your donated clothes! really appreciate that you take the time to thoughtfully select different places to donate. love your content!

We live in Minnesota. I own 4 swimsuits and my husband says that’s way too many. He heard where you got rid of 15 swimsuits and still had some left he said “that’s is an unhealthy absurd number of swimsuits for a Canadian” 😂

I know this might seem kinda heavy, but the random mama maples content really fills me with joy. My own mother wasn’t a mother at all, I have zero happy memories with her and I barely even knew who she was past age 10. But the simple communication between you and your mum warms my heart in a way I’ve never felt before. Thank you for allowing me to see what having a mum is like, even just for a moment ♥️

My mom taught me to hang all my clothes with the hangers backward in my closet on January 1st. Then by the next January 1st, it becomes really easy to know what you should give away because you can see which clothes are hung up with the hanger still backward!

I have found it if you put the hangers in backwards at the beginning of the year, then put them back the correct way as you use them...you may find that there are some that never get switch back around/worn. Feel free to donate at end of said time period. 😍

I love how successful Mia is, but still doesn't have a huge closet full of over-priced designer items, just to collect them and to show them off here and there. Whereas a lot of successful creators do a closet tour to show off, Mia does a clear out of her closet. Of course everyone should do what makes them happy, but I think it's refreshing to see that Mia uses her money for other things instead of on status symbols. And yes, she buys a lot of clothes from all kind of brands, but it's usually for content reasons.

I love your organizing videos, they make me want to get up and start clearing out straight away!

PSA: try not to donate to large thrift stores (goodwill, salvation army, etc.) They tend to throw a lot of stuff out and are overcrowded with merchandise. Instead, look for smaller mom and pop thrift stores or shelters to donate your goodies. You put all that work into donating them, so they should have the highest possible chance of not being thrown into a landfill

Having "Memory pieces" is totally fine! I have a box with some items in it. Too worn to wear, but too special to toss. Like my first pair of "expensive" sneakers I bought. They where special edition so not in regular highstreet stores and my mom tried to convince me not to bust my money on them. I did 'bust my money' and lovingly wore them out.

Keeping really nice and fun clothing for your future child is a must! My daughter cherishes the clothes I passed down to her and I’m super glad I had kept my family tradition of Mother to Daughter and even Auntie to Niece clothing. I even wore 3 pairs of 70s vintage bell bottom Levi jeans that I got from my Dad when I was in junior high and the memories have still lasted. My Daughter loves the Paris sweatshirt I bought in France when I was 17 and my soul purpose was to wear it like 2 times and then put it away to stay nice for my future Daughter. I feel like it’s a special thing to do for anyone who dreams of having kids and when the kids find out that you kept items just for them and they weren’t even born yet makes them happy.

Another thing to keep your closet organized- when you buy something new, ask yourself if you need it or want it. Most of the time, you'll put it back. When you do buy something, get rid of another item so your closet stays clean and organized. 😁👍

Hi Mia I just wanted to say I think it would be a cool idea with clothing you ever plan to take to thrift stores through out the year to sell them on a clothing platform a lot of thrift stores right now are over charging for nicer items/trendy stuff, that way some supporters can buy them and the money made would be good for going back into new videos, trying more clothing brands etc.
