If you're like me and only get the black pilling on your nose, opt for a soap free cleanser and use a salicylic mask on just the nose and chin instead. No need to dry your whole face out.

What if you're allergic to salycitic acid? I took two Aspirin brand pills one time, which contain the acid, had a lengthy allergic reaction albeit one that didn't close my throat up but did swell my face a bit, and ended up in the hospital on a benadryl drip for 5 hours.

Clean and clear isn't too harsh, if you have a tendency to get rashes from aggressive products. I try to avoid salicylic acid containing washes as they're soo drying.

I could never use these things. My skin is so oily that, even after washing, I can't get one of those on fast enough. The oil keeps it from drying out enough to suction anything out of my pores.
