On August 6, 2024 the storm prediction center had placed all of northern Ohio under a slight risk for severe weather with the main hazards being damaging straight line winds and perhaps a few tornadoes. the day started out relatively quiet with the exception along the Ohio PA border with thunderstorms, blew up early in the afternoon and pushed east. However, behind that first round of storms, the atmosphere became extremely unstable with the approaching cold front from the northwest, which generated a line of strong to severe storms over lake Erie, and began pushing southeast into Ohio. By the time, the line of storms reached the shores of Ohio they prompted multiple tornado warnings and destructive severe thunderstorm warnings with winds gusting over 80mph in spots!! So I rode this storm out in Northern Trumbull County and well let’s say it was worse then what I was expecting! The next day 8-5-24 I ventured out toward the suburbs of East Cuyahoga county to observe some storm damage as well! Hope y’all enjoy this video and to those affected have a quick clean up!
