Two days Inter-School Chess Competition-2021 organized by Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro has been successfully hosted by Crescent Public School, Bokaro resulting in the appreciative closing of the program on 23rd Oct 2021.
Factually, the spirit of working and learning togetherness was shown and proved by the Sahodaya School complex as in the adverse situation of the pandemic as well through this tournament. A total of 64 students from CBSE affiliated 19 different schools of Bokaro have participated in this competition. The Award of Overall Championship of this tough competition has been bagged by Delhi Public School, Bokaro. Whereas Sree Ayyappa Public School has been awarded as the First Runner- up and M.G.M Higher Secondary School, Bokaro as the Second Runner-up. Winners of various categories have been felicitated by providing certificates to them by our Chief Guest of the day Dr. D.N. Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro, Mr. Bishwajit Patra - Secretary Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Mr. Anil Kumar Gupta - Vice President-Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex & Principal-Cresent Public School, Mrs. P. Shailaja Jaya Kumar - Principal, Sree Ayyappa Public School, Bokaro, and Mr. Aamir Hussain - Principal Oriental Public School. Students have been categorized into four different clusters entitled Under-15 Boys, Under-15 Girls, Under-19 Boys, and Under-19 Girls. Nishant Kumar acquired first place, Aniket Rahi, second and Nitin Kumar Singh has got third place in the category of Under-15 Boys. Whereas Gitika Samyukta has got the first position, Sadhika Rajesh, the second & Aakansha has got the third position in Under- 15 Girls. Students have played several rounds with great enthusiasm. In the category of Under-19 Boys, Advay Kumar bagged the first position, Suyash Prasad the second and Sushant Kumar has owed the third position. On the other hand, Manisha Hembram-first, Nirjala Soni- second, and Rajlakshmi Kumari, third in the category of Under-19 Girls.
The closing ceremony of Crescent Public School has been beautifully initialized by a welcome note followed by a Bouquet presentation to all the dignitaries present. The presentation of an inspirational group song sung by the school choir has been done with an intention of building the strong willpower of the participants, whatever may be the situation. An act has been played beautifully by our students on the theme of the discovery & widespread of Chess over the world. The smooth conduction of the whole program has been done very well by Sneha Shukla and Sachhi Kumari for our for consecutive two days. The renowned competent personalities of different levels like Mr. Surya Kumar Sinha - Secretary, Bokaro District Chess Association, Mr. Rajesh Kumar- Vice President Bokaro District Chess Association, Mrs. Jaya Ratnashree - Coordinator Interschool Chess Championship, FA Prabhat Ranjan Kumar - Chief Arbiter, Mr. Binod Kumar Saw- National Arbiter have been present in the program. All students have been honored by providing them with the participation certificate. Lastly, a Vote of Thanks has been done generously by Mrs. Anju Thakur- Sports Teacher of the host School. This has led to the closing of the conducted two-day program leading to the gyst of "Nothing is impossible in this world in the presence of strong will power & determination ".
