Thank you and completely agree about the narrative. These type of games from Greg Smith always build compelling and fun narratives while teaching you some light history along the way.
Very happy to see the return to Interceptor Ace. It was a fantastic idea to start off with a mission from the first game as it really highlighted the changes to Volume Two. Great video and excellent start to a (hopefully) long running new series!
Thanks, paul! Yes, I started my Volume One pilot at the latest starting point in that game: September 1943. I wanted him to have some experience but didn't want to start at the very beginning of Volume One, where the chances were greater he would die before making it to Volume Two. :)
I love your videos - the narrative and special effects really immerse you into the game. Fabulous work! I'll be picking up Interceptor Ace Two when it comes out. Many thanks!
I've been uncertain whether to "trigger" for this or not but your fine video has me leaning to a possible purchase. Perhaps it was my poor luck with "The Hunted" that caused my reluctantance. One thing that I've acquired from playing Greg Smith's games is a keen sense of survival!
Thank you, Fernando! I'm honored you took the time to comment. I appreciate it very much! And I appreciate you designing a great sequel to one of my favorite solo games. Well done! :)
Great summary of Sgt. Kemp's pre-sequel career. However, the original game stops well short of D-Day, and, at 7:17, you show a P-51 with the black-and-white invasion stripes. I'm afraid that anachronism will cost you a prestige point. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
Very interesting game, I like things that show something other than the Allied perspective. But what movie is that opening video clip from? I can't place it. Oh wait...is it Red Tails? This was a great narrative, quite a frantic air battle as it was in real life.
I know, it's tough even in Volume One. In my original playthrough, my pilot wasn't killed but was maimed so badly he couldn't fly anymore. In this playthrough, I chose the latest start in Volume One, which was September 1943...then I prayed he would live. :)
hey poindexter Im just starting Interceptor Ace and was wondering, if the enemy fighter engages me from advantaged, does he resolve his actions first? I drew a wingman card which meant adjust my position by 2, but that would be after he shoots me, right?
