​@@JackFillerYou don't understand!? The film has no women. Is that normal in today's world? I'm 100% orthodox and when I see this, I'm worried at the values of the haredi outlook that cannot give women their place, equal with men and refuse to even show them in reality... in history, in film, in life. This narrowness must lead to serious imbalance and causes great problems for this society and for Jews and Judaism as a whole. For we are a nation with a great legacy and future, not some narrow sect.

@@d.avraba889 Are you implying that today’s world is normal? The sexualization of women in how they dress, the immorality, the divorce rate, etc. Is that what you want for the Jewish nation? No thank you. Besides, this “imbalance” has been part of the Jewish nation’s culture for all of history, and we’ve turned out perfectly fine. I don’t see a reason to change now. Please reply, I’m interested in your perspective.

​@@JackFillerAs I said I'm a 100% orthodox Jewish man, always was.. and I see this attitude that you defend as backward, narrow and much needing chance. You relate to women automatically in the realm of sexualised aspects and immorality.. Not so. They are equal partners in our Jewish world, given full respect and honour. You don't reveal your beliefs or ideology..it would be nice to hear.. Orthodox Jewish women, thank Gd. are at the forefront of the call to greater equality, which is necessary. The Haredi outlook on women, the inability to show or portray them is a blight on Judaism. Imagine if our holy source texts removed women! as Haredi films and newspapers do.. It would be ridiculous.

@@JackFiller typo.. chance..should be the word..'change'. I want to add that I like the effort to make such films, in Yiddish..which I appreciate.. and that's why I find the narrow culture outlook so requiring a clear response. If I had time I would also criticise another tragedy of Jewish post holocaust life..that hundreds of thousands of committed Jews, are unable to accept the obvious..Zionism..and its necessity for the survival of the Jewish people. My father who lived in Poland and lost maybe nearly a hundred of his family in the holocaust (he survived alone) never understood why the Haredi world there pre holocaust was 90% implacably anti Zionist.. and even 80 years later, the basic ideological stance has remained, essentially unaltered. Well, Jack, maybe you are unaware but there has been a revolution in the Jewish people in the last century.. and we need to think very carefully and clearly what we take of our rich heritage and what need change. If you think the world or the Jewish world stays fixed in its outlook, I have to say I disagree with you.
