6:36 yeah, this incident shook the entire nation due to the fact there were alot of university and college students from across the nation in these trains, one of the deaths was a 23 year old girl from my town of Giannitsa, the funeral was held today and was televised, there were a lot of people present!
8:28 fun fact: Burger King wanted to counter the quarter pounder and released their third pounder. 33% more meat is bad marketing when the vast majority sucks at math and thought 1/3 is smaller than 1/4
5:43 The minimum wage in 1950 was 75 cents an hour, it is now $7.50 an hour. So you should be able to buy a similar house today for 75 to 80000. This is what happens when politicians have to get campaign contributions from the businesses that they're supposed to regulate in order to get into and stay in office.
@abigmonkeyforme , you're right, the problem isn't because capitalism, the problem is because you don't even actually live in a capitalism and are not a capitalist as you either don't own capital or aren't a part of the solution anyway. Property value isn't supply and demand. It's monopolized, gouged, and subsidized. Much land is owned by few people, and create an expected rent rate, which increases property value, which landlords will still buy because the rent can just be higher to compensate... The catch being that nobody will choose to be homeless, nor will they find reasonable land because they'll be outbid so a renter can rent it instead. If we lived in a capitalism, land and housing building would increase to keep up with demand and rates would fall and landlords could stuff it, but zoning in most jurisdictions don't allow for it. If there were even acceptable regulations, either zoning would expedite housing, or even better, would expedite housing with the explicit prohibition of renting vs residing in any of the provided zoning expedites. God forbid they just apply existing anti trust laws to prevent any one entity from owning or operating more than 5 properties, restricting monopolies as they were supposed to do since 1910.
10:40 Prison pop went down real quick when covid hit. lot of jails and prisons actually released some of the non aggression prisoners or ones that had little time remaining or in some cases Did let aggressive prisoners out and cut them loose.
Brian May is actually a pretty. Cool dude, he is super involved the science stuff and I think I helps rescue native animals in the UK or something like that
Do you think athletes and people like "the mountain " are ever honest with themselves that if they weren't rich, the women in their lives would've never even spoke to them?
No that story was entirely made up by an American or British historian (I think) to showcase what people would believe if you told a story about ancient China.
