there is another trick in the X/-X direction. on pad. you can turn the stick 3-5 degrees left/right at the start and get a speed bonus. at KB you can go slightly over the green and immediately turn straight. the main thing is not wider than one wheel. like a boost trick. this will also give a speed bonus.
I think this is linked to the reason that speed sliding is actually a thing. In that when driving with 4th gear - passive resistance from sliding is weaker than just rolling. Hence, forcing the car into a stable slide slows you less down than letting the car roll by itself - apply acceleration to the equation and you gain speed faster. Here I think the split second 'engine kill' during the gear up has more passive slowdown when holding acceleration - than when not
@@ezmna57 yeah, the description is a little confusing. Vid says it works til gear 4 but description said gears 1 to 2? If it’s just first gear I think it’s the airtime thing.
