Eric Shook You think, I rode two motel elevators in the past: Dover Hydraulic elevator at Best Western in Sevierville Tennessee 3 floors only, and Thyssenkrupp Hydraulic elevators at La Quinta Inn and Suites have all rode better than that, the Thyssenkrupp was the smoothest, even it creaked slightly, and scraped some, but it didn’t sound loud like that, yeah Dover elevators have never been my favorite because of the loud buzz, Thyssenkrupp same thing, but the Thyssenkrupp ones were better because it acted more like Otis and Schindler smooth, while Dover reminds me of Montgomery or MontgomeryKone terrible, Westinghouse ones are nicer, and they suck as well. 🤔

I personally like Dover elevators but I just think that these could be maintained a little bit better!

Eric Shook Dover elevators are decent when they are maintained right, same with Montgomery/MontgomeryKone and Westinghouse, but the biggest problem with Dover more than the buzz, the cab panels and numbers always get dirty so fast, that’s the reason why I like Thyssenkrupp better, because they don’t do that, unless it’s the Impulse version of both Dover or them? 🤔

Eric Shook Yeah otherwise Dover’s are decent, I just never cared for that annoying floor passing chime, but the other chimes were decent and the old school elevator bong sound was fine, but really loud that would scare the daylights out of you! 😅

Maybe because it’s hydraulic. If I was the building owner I would have made them traction, both stop at all floors and they would be on the same controller
