Well made products. I have a question - gradual water seepage - can it rust the revars? I know the alkaline cement reduces corrosion - would galvanised or stainless steel coated wire stop this = pipe for 1000 years. I agree cost of Zinc and SS is higher, but 1000 years is longer = 10 times or more extension of longevity?
were you heating or cooling the concret? I ask, because it looks like heating, but at mega projects (e.g. Burj Khalifa) I have seen that they have to cool the concret to avoid overheating.
They steam cure the concrete. Since concrete making is a chemical reaction which produces heat they have to slow down the reaction by using ice . During the construction of the Burj Khalifa which is in a desert environment, and the heat of the day was bad for concrete they had to use ice and pour during a certain time of the day. FYI when they built the Hoover dam the chemical science of concrete was such that the only way to slow down the curing of the concrete was to place water pipes in the concrete
I didn't see any screening of the concrete mix or how many days they let the concrete set up. Since concrete needs to set up for 21 days in the form to provide maximum stability & strength.
