On one hand we are talking about brighter space and on the other we see the kitchen cabinets in dark colors. Doesn't this give a darker look to the kitchen. Please help.

Hi!! Dark colors absorb light, but if you plan your lighting design with the quantity of light necessary, dark colors are not a problem! Also, having other surfaces around in light colors will help to reflect light! Balance is key! ❤️

Ok, I have to say it....you need a better kitchen knife. LOL! I can tell, just by looking at it, the one you're using is NOT sharp enough and a dull knife can be dangerous.

My husband insist of having 6000K light for kitchen (ambience light) . Now, can I layers them wif sconces 4000K n track light on the hallway to kitchen 3000K? Will it look weird cuz I think ambience light of kitchen is too blue to mix wif other lighting...

Thankyou for an amazing video, getting a bit off the concept , I have a big wall in my hall way 28 ft in height and 12 ft in width . What can i do with it should i get it custom painted or may be a wallpaper or some work can be done with plater of paris, i am very confused . Wow thank you!!!! So follow up question, do the lights have to be the same colour temperature? I don’t like the mix of different colour temperatures. Like the bright whites and the yellow lights and daylights. How do I know how many lumens is okay and what is okay with colour temperature?

I love your style, and would like your advice on kitchen floor. I am building my new kitchen with light grey cabinets, gold fixtures, the backsplash and counter will have white with grey veins quarts. Can you please advise what color floor I should use. Hello Zahira. New subscriber & would love your thoughts on over-sink in front of window lighting. Though hanging pendants are cute, I feel it will disrupt the window view, unless it hangs high right above the trim. What pendant width would be best.. window width is 58”, sink width is 32”. So would a semi flush mount work too & at what width? Thank you!!

You are a great teacher, I am enjoying your videos. I am a newly trained interior designer and I am still having trouble selecting lighting temperatures. In my own home (currently renovating) I have an open plan kitchen/dining room. What colour/temp lighting do you choose for both...
