I amreally interested about interior designing however i dont have any knowledge about it i wanted to enroll architecture before but i cant afford the tuition consider that a working student. so i ended up taking education, but then here I am again trying to educate myself about it. this is my first time to watch your videos.

Interior design is great in that you can start working straight away on smaller projects without any training at all (of course it depends on every individual as to whether they should get training though!) Architecture is the opposite, you really can't do anything unless you've got your degree first. Don't give up, keep going step by step and you will find the information you need to get to where you're aiming for. I didn't make it into architecture the first time :-) I had to find a creative route into it! I started a different degree and then transferred into architecture after my first year - find a way. Goodluck!

I would recommend going to tech school. I got my associates degree in interior design this way. I was working two jobs and got through it debt free.

I'm so glad it helped. It was a hard video for me to make but I had so much to say. It probably could have been three separate videos but this was the vision I had for it and I went with it. My folio is old now in comparison to what's out there, but there are youtube watchers above 30 too 😂

Hi, did you watch the part about graduate portfolios? This part goes into exactly what you need to do. Designers want to experience so if you can prove to them that you are capable of doing the jobs they need (typically concept presentations, detail design, technical design, construction, FF&E and install as well as social media nad photography these days). You need to be able to show that you are versatile and can solve problems. No-one wants to hire someone who needs too much effort to train up... I would watch this video in its entirety as you'll see all the documentation you should have for different stages of a project in the other sections and then try again. Good luck!
