I absolutely love watching your videos , the best car detailing channel, great job, the truck looks great, what products did you use on the leather and plastics?
Awesome video/tutorial good friend. Truck came out amazing as always. Dig the shirt.so Awesome that Aaron product line is doing really well. Awesome guy.b well good friend
Hey. This spring coming up, I have a gray 2013 Corvette to polish. It has a matte "racing stripe" down the hood that looks beat up a bit. I know during the livestream you said I can't polish it, but how can I spruce it up? Hi wife!
yet another great video, phil i do lots of these big trucks being out here in central sierra foothills. have you got a recommended fabric guard? also have you seen the door fabric on the new denali ? its sort of "alcantra" looking? any recommendations also a recommended leather guard drak colored similiar to this truck? L1? ty
Thanks. Yeah sometimes if the tires are old and worn the dressing just sucks in and it doesn’t look like it was even dressed. 🤷🏻♂️. We see it a lot down here, people keep their tires for years and the intense heat just rots them.
Is the surface prep basically a wax and Grease remover I have tons of that I use to wipe my panels down before I paint or clear then abs before I tack rag it
It’s not exactly the same stuff. It’s basically an alcoholic based oil remover. I believe the wax and grease remover used for auto paint is a stronger solvent. It doesn’t take much to remove the polishing oils before a coating. You can even use alcohol and DI water 50/50
I totally agree with your detailing process. I also believe in paint protection instead of paint correction and not chase scratches to the point of compromising the paint to paint failure. I hate to see detailers grinding the paint all the way to tbe primer.😬🤔
So I’ve been using the csl snd exo combo on all of my coating jobs. Any recommendations for a single coating that still performs very well. 3+years. Using csl and exo is a great combo but it cuts into profit because I have to buy both products.
So you don’t have to use EXOv4 on CSL in the beginning. CSL on it’s own is actually rated a 5 year coating. When I became accredited that’s what they said. It actually comes with a 5 year warranty card if the customer wants to opt in for that. Roping it with EXOv4 is optional. Also, out of a 50ml bottle we can coat 2 vehicles, the profit on that is crazy. Our prices here are $1500 for the CSL coating. Of course that included the paint enhancement and everything that we include in our New Car Prep service. So for us it’s a no brainer. I think people are charging far to less these days for coatings. Not sure why, but I’m sure in some demographics it can be a challenge to get that amount.
@@MirandaDetailing yes, demographics has a lot to do with pricing..no way where I'm located I can attain that price of $1,500. 00 is which is where it should be.
Another awesome video Phil I busted out laughing when Jess said poop stain. Started laughing again just texting it . your videos are always spot on with knowledge, business, education, and a shot of humor love it.
Brother tour detailing skills are on point , but your video game is catching up big time. Always enjoy your videos! Saving my money for some training in the future. I can see myself taking a road trip to Virginia.
I just ordered a F250, how would you say the paint is? I find the paint on my Tundra to be on the soft side and kind of tough to work with sometimes. Great video, the truck looks awesome.
The newer Ford paint seems to also be on the medium to soft side. Pretty easy to work with actually. But that may vary from model to model and year to year.
@@MirandaDetailing this is gonna sound dumb I love you tho , did you just use the step stool ?im asking cause I got a tank I’m doing this weekend and I’m like I’m
SSHHEEEESSHHH!! Fresh lookin detail! I always admire and take notes of your wash process! Your APC rinse paired with Mid/Runny foam during the wash makes for an efficient detail with just enough soap for a safe wash. Always appreciate the content you guys provide! Question, matte wheels I dont get that often, and neither is there enough information regarding what to do and not to do when cleaning matte wheels with lots of brake dust, fall out, sap, etc. When I do encounter one during the job i would like to be prepared for it, so what is your experience with matte wheels? Considering its finish, are acid based products safe for it? Water spot removal? Sap? Tar? Thank you as always, and ill always credit where credit is due! ;) Take care MiranGang!
Hi thanks! Matte wheels can be a challenge especially if they are neglected. You really shouldn’t use strong acid based or and even super high alkaline cleaners on them because it can cause them to stain. I usually just use the car shampoo and use the hand mitt or microfiber towel to clean them as best as I can. But even then sometimes the matte finish and too far gone to clean. I tell customers that they MUST clean their matte wheels often or they will get destroyed.
Brother I feel you on something that size. I have a black 2015 Yukon Denali XL 4x4….You definitely get a work out 💪 cleaning it. I did a major paint correction and ceramic coating on it about 5 months ago….Did the interior and engine bay as well. Did it all by myself. Had around 15 hours in it over 3 days taking my time. I let it sit for 5 days in my garage as the coating cured and would just go out side and look at it and admire my hard work!!! Lolol… Enjoy your channel and videos. God Bless and stay safe!
Hi guys, I need to try that last coat water spot remover but I also recommend the p&s water stain remover because it can work like a prewash for light-moderate water spots and can be diluted well for matte wheels
Great job, folks! Seems to me the paint on those F-series trucks marks up pretty easy. Mine's a '17 as well, I'm saving this video for tips come spring cleaning time. Thanks a bunch!😎
Great job once again! That was a large project. Any concerns with the wheels and the APC rinse? It looks like they were a matte finish, curious to know if an APC would ruin them if it dried to long on them.
Hi. Thanks! Good point about the wheels. We never let any cleaners dry on them. The apc only dwells for a short time and then we rinse it off. As long as you do that it’s fine.
@@MirandaDetailing Awesome thanks for the info. I figured don't let it dry on the surface and it should be okay. Sometimes it's really hot here so I have to do one wheel at a time.
Hi. On bare aluminum I would be super careful. On bare aluminum you can usually polish it out with metal polishes. On anything clear coated it’s fine if you follow our process.
Mmmm nope….we only go as far as we safely need to. We take measures and WE determine when its necessary to go further. In this case not an option and not was it needed because we are preserving clear coat and not worried about 100% correction. Thanks
What is the clearance inside your garage to pull bigger vehicles inside and how do you tell if you have enough space? I think I have between 7 - 7 1/2 ft but with some of these bigger trucks I’m not sure what will fit so far the biggest has been Ford F-250 super duty but don’t want to gouge the roof if it was lifted I would do it outside but how do you tell if you can fit or not in your own garage when it’s close
Our garage door Goethe is about 8ft. I have had huge 6 inch lifted trucks in here before with a few inches to spare. I basically just test and see if it will fit
You can lower the truck by a couple inches when you let the air out to 8-10 psi. Obviously you have to make sure you have an air hose to refill and you can’t dress the tires til the truck is back outside with the tires filled back up.
