There is just no end to the troubles with those girls in the house is there? haha That Gertrude is a little stinker. I'm astounded at the things you find on the ground. Charlotte now has her own sweet house.❤
Hi Vicki🤗 You pegged it- a stinker! That's my Gertie. Charlotte is a little bit snobby but who can blame her for wanting to be out of the nursery. After all she is a grown doll, even though she's only 1.25". 😂🥰✨
The stove came out so lovely. I think it’s brilliant.,how you put it together. I really liked the bricks on the card board .I really must try that technique this such a great idea. I know Charolette is loving her new cottage it’s so sweet. I never thought of using a large print for wall paper it does look so lovely. The curtains were so sweet too. Thank you for showing how to make them. Yes the straightener was brillant thank you Deb 💕💕💕💕💕💕Oh 😃😃😃😃🐈💕💕💕I’m grateful for you sweet friend . Feeling so blessed.💕💕💕
Hi Grace!🤗 I'm so glad you like it! I tried to make it a little feminine for Charlotte. She is happy, but always a bit fussy. She wants a shelf for her dishes and wants me to work on the exterior as soon as possible. Aw I feel blessed too! 💕🥰✨
Hello Dot, Charlotte's cottage is so cute 😍, I love the stove you've made, I'm sure she will be very happy to have a lovely little place to call home. I love the bloopers, making tiny things is challenging, I know from when I used to make things in 1/48 scale, that our fingers are often too big to do what we want them to, have a wonderful week. Best wishes from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 😊
Hi Diane🤗 Although I didn't scale anything, I think the cottage would be very close to 1:48. Charlotte is happy- for now. She's very demanding, and I'll have to get started on the exterior soon. I'm so amazed that people can do any minis to near perfection. I'm okay with "pretty close". I will likely rework the settee though. Best wishes from California! 🥰🤗
GLUE! The struggle is Real! Even so, I think that your cottage is Adorable as it has all the inherent charm and flavour of the old-fashioned doll houses which I LOVE! ❤
i have the same habit- always watch where I'm walking to pick up odd shapes. A few times I've found money. Last year I found a very folded $10 bill. That is my best, but I do find the odd quarter or nickel. I hammered a penny and made a flat dish, an idea that I got from Eugene Kupjack, who did much of the work on the famous Thorne Rooms. But I love Charlotte's abode! The oven is really great, and the 'brick' works well. I always prefer something that can hide from the dust like your box house that shuts.
This is so cozy and sweet! Talk about creative! I especially love the brick technique/texture/look! That wallpaper is gorgeous and the curtains are darling! The stove is truly amazing! You are quite a “Thing-finder” - do you remember that’s what Pippi Longstockings called herself when she took her empty can and went out on a thing-finding adventure? Love that! I imagine Miss Charlotte is quite snug and grateful! I really appreciate and enjoy the “longer” video! ❤Kathleen
I love the reference to Pipi Longstocking. A favorite from my childhood and I loved her jumbled repurposed home full of inventions. Would love to see her home in miniature.
Thanks so much Kathleen🤗 Oh my goodness, I watched/read those Pippi stories so many times you think I would remember 🤣 Now I want to read them again. Ya that's me- a thing finder. Charlotte likes it but she's already asking for other things like a shelf for her dishes.. I have some ideas for the outside. It's a fun way to experiment on techniques without the worry of ruining a more precious house. 🥰✨
Oh my goodness I love the stove! I remember when old farm houses had a stove like that in the “Summer Kitchen “for pickling and cooking to keep the hear out of the house. My friend’s Grandma even had one that was outside under a nice shady tree for doing all her canning on. ❤️🇨🇦
Wow Laura! I think I read about a summer kitchen in an old book. I love trying to picture your friend's Grandma under a tree doing her canning on an old stove! Can you imagine how wonderful!?🥰✨
Your Muse did not steer you wrong! That stove unit was positively inspired!! Your dolls are as funny as you! That settee looks as if it could use some little arms on the ends, perhaps. ❤️
Hi! 🤗 Ya the stove was very inspired. As for the settee, I considered arms but couldn't quite come to a solution. I was considering a piece of the silk rolled to create a little arm. It's so tiny. Only about an inch. I did learn a bit making it though so I may have another crack at it. 🥰✨
Oh Dot, Once AGAIN YOU NEVER DISSAPOINT!! You are so creative!! I luv your lil ADORABLE Cottage ❤ I'm so happy to watch your channel. Makes me smile every time & laugh out loud too😂 your too funny 🤗☺
Aw Rayna🤗You are too too kind! I laugh at myself all day so I'm glad if friends like you are laughing along with me 😂 I'm excited to get to work on the cottage exterior- I have a plan! 🥰✨
OH MY! Instead of mudlarking as our English friends do, you city-lark. However one finds treasures to spur the imagination, thank you for sharing them with us. Here’s to Happy Hunting!
Hi Pamela🤗 I'm so glad you said that because I was just thinking along those same lines. (I was trying to make myself feel so better for living in a place where trash is so readily available 🤣) I was trying to think what to call it. I do like city lark! Thank you!😘😄🥰🥰
Wow Dot your muse certainly sat on your shoulder for this project. From all those wonderful found or repurposed items you've created a wonderful little retreat for Charlotte. Some of your ideas were so inspired love the tiny sofa so Victorian looking and the stove turned out so well. That fantastic paper with the Lilacs and Roses looks like it's been there forever.Cant wait to see what you come up with for the outside of the house.Glad poor patient Winnie finally got her bath!Best wishes from Yorkshire Dales England.
Thank you so much Robin🤗 Lilacs! Of course! I thought they were hydrangeas! Charlotte is rather fussy so I'm glad she feels at home already. Now to work on the exterior. 🥰✨
Just brilliant Dot such a sweet make and the stove was on fire!! Inspirational indeed .i also loved the tiny fire place in fact I loved it all 😆🙌Charlotte is going to be very happy and cosy xx 😘 ❤🧡💛🤎
Aw thanks for the encouragement Deb🤗 I'm working on the outside right now and it's not going so well 🤣 Charlotte is stressing me out with her high standards🤭🥰✨
@@thedollcupboard ha ha , oh dear, well get Charlotte told it’s about having fun and some times expectations have to lowered xx don’t stress out it will all come out in the wash 😊🥰🥰😁♥️💙🩵🤎look forward to seeing how it works out xxx 😘💗💕🙌
Thoroughly enjoyed this very much. Your muse did very well indeed. What great finds to inspire you. I loved the storyline as well, very amusing a great way to start a Monday morning 😊. Are you going to decorate the outside of the little house?
Hi Lorraine 🤗 Yes I am going to do the outside (and hopefully give it a name). I have some idea but I'm hoping the muse comes back. 😂 I'm so happy you enjoyed the video🥰✨
Hi Nita🤗 I can't quite remember but you can get them anywhere online like Amazon or Temu. Just type in fairy lights on Amazon. I think I got a pack of 20 for about $12/14. Mine are only 4 feet long but you can get them longer or shorter. What will you use them for? I put mine everywhere. It looks like Disneyland at my house. Lol! ✨✨✨✨🥰
You have inspired me so I started doing a dollhouse some months ago. I have been trying to write about it here in the comments but my comments have been deleted. ????Maybe because I wrote in what app you can watch it. So I can't write it now.???? It's not Ytube..... it's another app where you're following me. You have before anyway. I have posted some videos there from my dollhouse. If you find them leave a comment so I will know that you saw them. It's three videos so far. I really hope this comment not will be deleted!!!
Hi Maria🤗 I'm so happy to hear this about your dollshouse! I'm sorry that YT is deleting your comments. 🙁 I think yes they don't accept links. Is it Instagram or Facebook you're posting on? I rarely go on Instagram any more. Glad this comment came through! 🥰✨
