Mam as you said imf is guided by occlusion....so teeth are to be in centric occlusion...right? And what if the pt. Is of class 2 or 3 we have to arrange by the same occlusion(class 2 or 3 before fracture has occured) or in class 1 ? Ps:i like your channel more than my college....thankf for making videos... -one neet aspirant😬

We fix the teeth in Maximum Intercuspation or Centric occlusion. It is irrespective of the class of molar relation. We are not fixing in Class 1 molar relation that a patient who has class 2/3 relation would feel uncomfortable. Every occlusion has it's own maximum intercuspation and even if it closes in class 2 or 3 if the patient is comfortable that way we fix it. Basically we have to provide fixation in the relation the teeth were present in before trauma. This helps relocate the other surrounding structures to their pre-trauma location and immobilize them. Hope this helps:)
