Intermediate | Boston 

I'm not from Boston, but for my undergrad degree I went to Boston University, which is just across the river from MIT and Harvard. I loved so much about Boston, except the frequent wind, which was brutal on some winter days. 🥶 Yes, the many universities there contribute to Boston's amazing arts and culture -- both highbrow culture and "fringe" or experimental arts. When I was a poor Boston student, I couldn't afford a lot of the cultural things, but the city still has lots of great free places and events. The thing I like the most about Boston and Cambridge are its many streets of beautiful old brownstone row homes and other historical buildings, which are free to enjoy and make for great long walks. I walked a LOT when I lived there, just because I loved the history and architecture. 🤩 It was at Boston U where I first formally studied Mandarin, and then continued with it on and off for at least 15 more years. So although this dialogue is an easy review for me, I never knew how to say "Ma Sheng Li Gong" (MIT) until now! 😆 I always learn something new from ChinesePod, no matter what level lesson it is. I'm guessing the guy whose voice ends each ChinesePod lesson is from around Boston? His accent sounds VERY New England to me.
