My brain literally will not let my ollie or boneless while moving 😭. Any advice for tricks that don't require jumping and crazy stuff? I'm struggling out here :(
Can you do caveman? or jump on the board while it is rolling? My best friend always had problems and fears with movement and managed to overcome them with little caveman, hippie jumps and similar. Strawberry milkshake or Casanova flips are also a lot of fun without taking any major risks.
@danielbauer5673 ty! I can caveman fine, but it's like my body won't let me move because of a sense of danger when trying to do tricks moving. Like an instinct, lol. I'll have to try these out!
I agree with Daniel. There are definitely some tricks out there that might be less scary, but I also advocate a little bit for taking your own pace. For a long time, I did stationary tricks and tried to supplement that with a lot of just skating. Pushing, small manuals--baby pops. Kind of like this older video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ounanFgWIS4.html If you're not in a rush, I think it's just as valid to skate more and keep building up confidence. Try tricks rolling as you build up confidence. Another trick I would recommend is actually the nollie 180 shove it. It's much easier than a regular shove it, and you can do it in your normal stance. If you can caveman, you could probably start the randja plant ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vdfoa41ArDE.html another old video haha and these do require jumping. It's mostly freestyle footwork that doesn't require jumping, so monsterwalks, endovers, smoothies. Those are rolling tricks you can work on in the meantime that don't require jumping, but get you doing something and keep you rolling! 💪 hopefully that wasn't too many random thoughts
